I really have no theme or style in mind, but do like the looks of country french provincial. Our home was a Sears build kit.

You have just mentioned one of my favorite looks. Lots of white, blue and yellow would carry out this theme. My dream dining room for example....round maple top table with white painted legs, oversize ladder-back,rush seat chairs under a pewter chandelier. The floor would be hardwood with and enormous rectangular blue and yellow rag rug underneath. The country french style china cabinet would be painted white on the outside and yellow inside and be filled with a collection of blue and white china. The walls would either be barn board in white below a chair rail with yellow and white stripes above or a toile print in blue. The windows would have lace curtains on the lower half only...it just seems a shame to keep the sun away from all that sunny color.

Oh wow!! that sounds like a fun project. I jsut LOVE decorating--but ive finished with my home -- If you go online to hgtv.com you will find so many different inspirational ideas. Its so easy to copy == and cheap. YOu don't have to do exactally what they have..but at least it will give you an idea. Great places to find inexpensive home pieces (although you might have to dig) is ross, marshals, tjmaxx, hobby lobby, kirlands, places like that. You'll have fun. I always do! Good luck!
