Good question - and as a Christian I am not offended - it is a question I had not thought of before - thanks for bringing it to my attention. I would just mention that The Holy Bible only relates to the animals that was known to be alive during it's writings!@

Tell him that the Bible story does not limit. It does not say it is a complete story, or even that it is chronological order (good luck with translating that into child speak) Let him know that this creation here might not be the only creation that ever happened. Lately science has shown that the earth was in fact destroyed by impact when the dinosaurs all died which would have left the earth void and without form and at that time the earth may very well have stopped spinning for a period, get the idea. The answer is basically we do not know everything

The fact that dinosaurs existed is absolute fact based upon the geological record. Those bones in the Smithsonian are kinda hard to dismiss. On the spiritual side, the Bible did not mention a great many things. Remember that Moses wasn't trying to provide verifiable factual evidence of creationism to a scientifically minded 21st century population...he was trying to explain his understanding of God's role in the creation of the universe and man to a tribe of unsophisticated nomadic interlopers centuries before the first word of the Bible was put to paper...he wasn't trying to explain everything. In this way the Bible is being taken out of context by modern man. But the Bible is the only "proof" of creationism, and there are many other "creationist" theories from a variety of other religions. This is the danger of starting your search for truth with a dogmatic belief and trying to support this belief with the facts at hand. The scientific method starts with an unproven thypothesis based upon observation, and then challenges this theory through controlled testing. The findings of this experimentation produce other questions, with the goal of somday determining the "truth".

It is a proven scientific fact that dinosaurs predated man. Genesis is written by Moses, several hundreds-thousands of years after the dinosaurs. We know that one day God created the light, the next the land, etc., but we don't know how long a day is to God. Dinosaurs ruled the land during one of God's "days". Moses' purpose for the writing was to tell the one paragraph on the creation, meaning it was created by God, then to tell the story of mankind. He was not doing detail before man. The old testament is a history book preceeding and leading up to the life of Jesus.

The answer is simple. Tell your child that the Bible outlines God's Salvation Plan for Mankind without delving into science or history. You would be speaking the truth for the Bible is not a science book nor a history book and it is NOT an outline of the future.
The Bible speaks the truth using parables, metaphors and fantastically symbolic writing known as Apocalyptic literature. It is not meant to replace science or history nor is it a crystal ball to peer into the future.

The scientific facts about dinosaurs are they are reptiles. Reptiles do not stop growing. Under the right conditions, they can grow very large.
The Bible talks about 2 things we dont' know about for sure today. Leviathan and Behemoth. The descriptions of them do not resemble a hippopotamus as some suggest. They do not resemble a steam locomotive as the Jehovah's Witnesses suggest.

God didn't name every animal he made. But there is fact that there were humans during that time period. There are many mysteries in the bible. Don't question it. That's where the scientist go wrong, they question the word of the Lord and the sequence in which things occur. Maybe you should take them to church and let a religious leader of Jesus Christ faith explain as mush as they can. May I suggest a Pentecostal or Baptist religion.

Dinosaurs are not suggested everywhere contained in the Bible, seeing as that element period develop into coined centuries after the Bible develop into written. There are mentions of significant beasts, and from there this is all stipulation. of direction, dinosaurs got here from eggs/zygotes/and so on. were you watching for me to assert a cabbage patch or monstrously-large stork? Srsly.

Last I checked the bible mentions nothing about the space shuttle or the fact that cars, t.v.'s, motorcycles, airplans, football, baseball, hotdogs, apple pie and cheverlet exist but somehow I manage!
Science is not something the majority of Christians or even Jews are against...in fact we embrace science as a God given study. We learn more about our World, ourselves and God through science. Of course just like most things you have good and bad science..Those on the Christian side who bend science to make it say what they want and those who oppose christianity to bend science to say what they want.. so like most things you have to read between the lines and do some research on your own to find out fact from fiction. Dinosaurs are cool....

Simple. Tell the child that the Bible tells of recorded history only. Dinosaurs were long (millions of years) before recorded history, before people knew of these things.
