I would suggest it would be one of two things. Either she is simply getting old, or she's pregnant. Both would explain why she would suddenly begin acting like this. Older cats tend to prefer to stay in one area and rarely venture out, although some have been known to suddenly leave home for no reason just before they die. If she's pregnant then she may have chosen the one room to give birth in, and is being more loveable because she requires help with her pregnancy/birth/kittens.

Yes, cats have been known to suffer from severe separation anxiety. Of course, it all depends on your cat's personality. But I had a cat once that we moved to another house and it got really sad and started moping around and mewing. We tried to make it feel better, but it just took a lot of time before it finally adjusted. Definitely try to give the cat as much attention as possible without spoiling it or making it too dependent. Hope this helps! Best Regards, Rylan92

Quite often Cats mimic their owners habits quite often. Did you recently move to a new residence.. that would account for your cat not wanting to leave one room! More loveable than usual maybe your cat hasn't been getting enough lovin'. Get your cat some Temptation treats give her some from the envelope in the room and put the rest outside that room and she'll come to get them.. Most Cats are crazy for Temptation treats! My Cats preferred Turkey or Chicken!

Have you changed her food lately-animals need time to adapt to new tastes. She may also be hormonal-take her to the vet. But she most probably juz wants attention-give her some.

Consider what factors have changed in its life. If nothing changed, it is probably your animation. On a side note, you probably wouldn't notice such things if ou had a special human in your life.
