I KNOW that God answers prayer because it's happened to me!! When I was 7 or 8 years old my dad was really sick and couldn't work. We had no money to buy food that week and my mom was really scared, but all of us prayed and the next day an old friend that we hadn't seen in years came to our door and said that that morning, as he had been spending quiet time with God, God spoke to him to write us a check. And wouldn't you know it, the check was for the EXACT amount we would need to buy groceries for that week. See, I know beyond a shadow of a dought that God answers prayer.

I've had direct experience of the power of intercessory prayer, but I'm also very conscious that a great many prayers were uttered in the boxcars on their way to Dachau ...

However, this gives me great comfort - it comes from a book by Alan Paton (he wrote Cry The Beloved Country, one of the earliest and most well-loved novels about South Africa). The book is called 'Instrument of Thy Peace,' and it's his meditations on the prayer of St. Francis - the one that begins Lord, Make me an Instrument of Thy Peace ...

What he says is that this is the only prayer that God will answer exactly as you pray it (provided always that you pray it with sincerity) and it doesn't matter how you construe God - you can be Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Sikh, Ba'ahai, Buddhist, or still searching. And if you think about it, it makes sense and it's a very good prayer to pray when all else fails.

Love from a searcher ...

fred,
If you go by a church, and everything is just dead and still, I don't know. And we like to see them represented here, and to let you see that God answers prayer for them. But God answers prayer. Let's all say it together. No matter what the circumstances are, He answers, anyhow. And I just pray and they get healed. I just pray for the sick. And God answers prayer, and we know that's the truth. If our hearts condemn us not, then we have this assurance: God answers prayer.
He does it in His time, the way it's best, makes it work just right for us. That's His goodness. Believe with all your heart. Well, we know that God is God. Now, we are confident that God answers prayer and gives to us His blessings. When we gather together, "The people that's called by My Name shall assemble themselves together and pray, then I'll hear from heaven."...

Lots of experience. I was disabled for more then 18 years, with crippling lumbar pain, advanced degenerative disc disease, I could not even walk any faster then too put one foot half way in front of the other. If I needed to cross a lighted two lain street, it would take me at least two light to cross it. I was really in a bad way. The doctors told me to get ready to be in a wheelchair in about a year, when I asked them what could be done, they said that nothing could be done for me, I asked "nothing at all?" and one of them said "Pray", so my wife and I did, and God answered our (my wife and I) prayer, that if He would not heal me directly, the would He at least give me something that would heal me? He Did. The pain is gone, I can walk normally now, the numbness is gone from my leg, the disk decease is in total reversal. I am at this moment all but completely healed, and that will not be much longer. O yea, I put down my cane after only 4 months into the cure. I used it for almost 18 years. God has done for me what every doctor said could not be done. I could tell you of more answered prayers, but I won't take up the room.

Yes God answers every prayer. I have personally experienced this in my day to day life, It is a pleasure when we ask God something in our prayers and He hears it and gives it We can ask our God anything like a child asking its father. Nothing is small or big for God. We have to ask Him. That"s all.

Yes, yes, emphatically yes! God DOES answer prayer. You must believe when you ask of HIM that He will answer you, that's called faith. The bible also tells us in James 5:16 that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
So keep your head up and know that God created you and knows what you have need of before you ask. But you must ask to get what you want and need. Be encouraged and keep praying. It REALLY does work.

It all depends on one's beliefs. Of course, there's no scientific proof of His existence, but I do believe that Someone higher up answers our prayers if we remember Him sincerely (even when all's well).

I haven't had any experience as such, but I calm down a little after my prayers. It doesn't matter what religion you follow; prayers are important.

Yes. Yes. Recently I had great fever. But I did not go to hospital though many advised. I took some homeo pills for three days without any cure. On the third night I woke up after midnight and checked the temperature which was about 103 degrees C. I laid down on the bed simply started chanting "Aum Sri Sainathaya namah" as I closed my eyes to sleep. I don't remember how long, but I saw Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi very clearly dressed in ochre and blessing me with his right hand raised. He gave three darshans. Every time I saw him, I experienced great vibrations through my body, ie three times. Then I woke up and saw that I lost my fever. At the same time my son 13 yrs old was also suffering from high fever. When I woke after Baba's darshan, I told my son to do chanting of Baba's name. He did the same and became alright before dawn. While he chanted Sai Baba, he saw Baba's feet only. This way Baba blessed my son.

You may find for yourself, by chanting the name of any God you believe, either Alla, Baba, Christ, Chamundeswari, Datta, Dhanvantari, Easwara, Krishna, Rama, Shakti, or any form of God i.e A to Z. But faith is important. The GOD is so merciful and always ready to shower LOVE on any creature.

God is one and wanted to become many. Thus this universe and its entire creation exists within the GOD- the Giver, the Organizer and the Destroyer. God offers himself to serve his children with unparallel love. God looks after every creature, good or bad. God always gives chance to even the worst to realize His LOVE.

The natural spiritual condition of humanity is oneness with God and when our higher consciousness interacts with God through prayer we can tap into his healing energies. There are clinical studies that show those with illnesses who pray heal quicker-it's for science to find out why that is.
