You may want to be careful. This special unforgettable birthday thing may backfire on you. Women tend to remember for long periods or forever when someone goes all out for us on a day like our birthday or if they do little or nothing. Men like it when a woman makes the effort but may forget all of her hard work in less than a week and by the next birthday have decided to take her for granted and EXPECT her to go all out again. Also take your ques from how he has treated you on your birthday. If he pulls out all of the stops then you will know it's better for you to do so. Most of them were very happy and we parted on mutually good terms. I was married for 9 yrs. The first birthday we were together was his. I got him an unwrapped DVD of a movie he mentioned that he liked. Total cost 10.99, total time spent approx 12 minutes. He liked it and still proposed to me 4 months later. I just think that sometimes men and women do things for each other based on what WE want and value. The other gender may not need/want/appreciate being loved in the same way that we would.

Ummm... not sure how you can answer this as it is somewhat x-rated.
I think you are probably best asking him what his favourite fantasy is, and play it out. Hopefully it isn't something that involves something that you don't want to do.
Plus, why only the bed? The kitchen counter also works, the shower is also great and oh my gosh the swimming pool.
