for saving the damned in hell. Let us say that you are in Heaven and your God tells you that you can try to save 1,000 people that are in Hell, but you only have 1 in a 1000 chance of ever returning to heaven. If it were strangers would you do it? How about if it were people you know and love?

Sorry for the goofy question I am bored.

What is so goofy about it. Jesus asked us to love our neighbors. He did not exclude anyone from this idea.

Where is this love that he asked us to have supposed to stop. Apparently nowhere, so the question should be a no brainier to any true christian. If they are strangers or not, it should not matter in the least. These are our brothers and Jesus asked that we love them.

Period.

You also have to understand that in heaven, the rules all change.

Being filled with the love of God, I would not hesitate to save some souls trapped in hell

Me, right now, being the cynic, I would ask a lot of damn fool questions as to why God couldn't yank them out in the first place.

And you don't go to hell for a tan, so how did these good and noble folks end up there? I mean, I don't think a child molester should be allowed in heaven under any circumstances. (This is one reason why I could never be God or any god)

It is unbiblical, but you would be surprised at how many people believe that they can go to and from hell. Once a person is in hell, there is no escape. There was a video put out called "Escape From Hell", and it was supported by some name brand preacher, but it is unbiblical. The account of Lazarus and the rich man demonstrates that no one can cross the great gulf that separates heaven from hell. But to answer your question, I would have to say no. No believer should risk his salvation for the unsaved. In fact, I do not believe that it is possible to do so because you cannot loose your salvation---the Bible clearly teaches this..

The Chance of saving 1 soul would potentially lead you into Sin!
Therefore Negating your Right to be in Heaven(If such a Concept exists)
Friends though pose a Different Dilemma-Define "Friend" Then we can consider Saving them!

I wouldn't do it. Why? Because people obviously went to hell for a reason.. I am not the person to choose who stays or goes.. that's not a decision for one mortal soul to make.. that is a decision for God to make.. and if he wants to save 1000 people from Hell, then they shouldn't have went there in the first place.

I would do it for anybody. Jesus has that chance on earth also and he did it anyway. It's all about altruism, on earth or hell. Why is the point of heaven if there are still people suffering. In hell, I'll start by saving Lucifer, if I'm successfull I'll free everybody, hell or earth.

First off those who went to hell had their chance, and they blew it. I know God wouldnt ask such a thing cause I cannot save them. Only Jesus can do that, but they denied Jesus and therefore they are in hell.
Its ok to have a goofy question..lol

People who go to hell choose to go there. If you do not believe in the only begotten son of God, you will not spend eternity with Him.

No, I wouldn't "save" anyone from hell. They chose to go there, and it would be against their will in the first place.

I do not like to play your game. I am going to do here all I can to take everyone with me I can without violating the free will God gave me. If He wants to save people in hell...I would be fine with it.

I'm glad I don't have to, as Jesus showed them the way. I guess i could feel sorry for them, which does no good. They made their decision, and so have I.
I am reminded of the story of the rich man and Lazarus. It appears even if someone would do this that even then they wouldn't believe.
