the reason a lot of people believe in nostradamus and bible parables is because they have been written down in such ways that it has a wide spectrum of truth.
much like palm readers, who will ask leading questions and get you to tell them what you want to hear, so a lot of these prophecies tend to babble a bit and let you decide what they actually meant.
