It began with Ben Franklin playing a jpke on people at a party. He might've been trying to get rid of them, I dunno. But, he ran the clock up 1 hour. Now, running the clock up one hour to MAKE DST, saves he local cities money, by not having to have lights on in the mornings, and it helps kids not get run over by cars when going to school.

During April, the clocks are moved forward one hour. During October, they are moved back one hour. This is not in every state of the U.S.
