A hot shower is always good. You can also fill a glass bowl with steaming hot water and hold your head over the bowl with a towel draped over it. Any kind of steam will help relieve your stuffy nose.

If the stuffy nose is a real problem be sure to see an ENT physician. They tell what is causing the stuffiness.

If the stuffy nose is only occasional there are some over the counter products that work well. They range from inhalers, sprays and the like to anti histimine pills. And there is the old fashioned remedy Vicks sauve. You might find it a bit repulsive at first but it works especially at night.

Some other home remedies would be a steam vaporiser, a hot steamy shower. Some strong horseradish will clear things up quickly as will a dash or two of Tobasco sauce.

Lastly activity seems to help take your mind off the discomfort.

Hope you feel better soon.

I think that the only thing that works in Saline spray or some other nose spray. A hot shower with lots of steam, and drink plenty of water! No pills have ever worked for me when I have a stuffy nose. I have a real bad one right now and it is the worst! You know that constant feeling that you have to sneeze and you can't so you make all kinds of funny faces and your eyes start watering!! I hate it!

This is a great remedy I heard from someone who heard it from their old fashioned family doctor when they were a kid. It may hurt a little but its worth it! Get a cup of warm salt water - pretty salty. Position yourself over a sink. Put your nose in the salt water and give a snort in. Suck the salt water into your nose - not too much - you'll know - then all of the stuffy stuff loosens up and comes out your throat and nose. You may need to do this a couple of times throughout the day to get final relief. You will definately get immediate relief.

Depends on why it is stuffy. If due to allergies try over the counter meds for allergies and congestion, but if you have high blood pressure go see a doctor because medicine over the counter can increase your blood pressure to dangerous levels.

If it is a cold try hot shower with eucalyptus drops (2-4) and or hot lemon tea. It will temporarily allow you to breath. There is also a tea called breath right that will alleviate your stuffiness.

A humidifier may also help.

There is always the over-the-counter medicine but if you are looking for more natural stuff I have a few suggestions. Chamomile tea, nettle tea, or hot sauce. Use could always go take a hot shower and inhale the steam too and if you have tea tree oil all the better.

blow your nose and then walk/stand outside so that you get new, fresh air into your body, replacing the bad air out. That's how I get rid of a stuffy nose!

I hope you get better and I hope I helped!

Have a steam inhalation with some eucalyptus oil 1 or 2 drops only. Or use something else with menthol like vick.
