Does the word 'preach' only include preaching through words (oral preaching)? Does it also include preaching through actions and examples (not words)? Please tell me.

I don't like to preach, I know that nearly every other athiest would not want to know anything about me if I did that. I don't think that it is the right way to go about it. I think a far better way is to preach through my actions and examples, like you rightly say.

Say I went to some African village that had never heard the gospel, well then I wouldn't have much choice but to preach, but my friends who know it, and have rejected it, or simply don't care enough, well then I just try to be there for them if they want to talk about it, and show them that in fact being a Christian is the best way (for me at least, and hopefully for them too).

Preaching is through words AND by example. Both are required. Therefore, it is a sin not to preach the gospel. A person cannot call themselves a Christian if their words AND lifestyle are not according to the Bible. The apostle James, who was the half-brother of our Lord, says in the Epistle of James that you must be a doer and a hearer of the word.

You are to preach the gospel in other words you are to tell others about Jesus. Tell about His salvation for them...........lead them to Jesus......Romans 10:9,10.13 For whosoever ......means everyone..As a christian you are to talk to people about Jesus. You are to be witness and testimony of God's grace.Tell what happen to you when you got saved. You can used what is called the Romans road....Romans 3:23, 5:8, 6:23, 10:9&13.You are to live the words you preach.....yes through your actions and examples not just words.............because people are looking to see if God has really made a difference in you......you made be the only bible they will ever see.A good thing to do is pray about this and talk to your Preacher or a christian that have be saved longer than you have.

People who claim that our Christian witness doesn't include telling the people the gospel message are mistaken. While having Christ like character is certainly important, by itself it doesn't fulfill the great commission given to us by our Savior.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

I saw a great sign in front of a local church yesterday. "Preach the gospel. Use words sometimes". So there are 2 ways one does that, but the primary is with how they live out their day to day lives.

If people can not 'see' Jesus in our lives, and/if we do not 'preach' the gospel, then we are not doing what God and Jesus have told us to do. That means that we are disobeying and when we disobey the we have sinned. Sin is not just the transgression of the law (for those that do not know the law is the 10 commandments ) it is also when ever we fail to do what we are told to do by God, or Christ.

I would not use word "preach". I share to Gospel. The Gospel is the good news about that God loves you. Many people do not think that God loves them.

Sharing Gospel and being Christian is a lifestyle. It is easier to judge...but we need to leave the judging part to God. Because He knows our hearts.

depends upon the interpretation of the word " preach " doesn't it ? to inform others about The Word of GOD is one thing as long as one respects the other person's personal Belief System. however, to shove the Christian Belief System and perhaps destroy the others Culture and Society in the Name of GOD is not respecting the free will of other Cultures and Societies to make up their own mind which way they want to Worship.

No, it is not sin not to preach. Everyone is not expected to be a preacher. Some people have to do some work too. Otherwise the preachers will have nothing to eat.
