I don't think you do. You can accept things, accpet people even if you do not agree with them.

No, you don't have to agree with it, neither like it - but you still have to tolerate it, as it is!
Things are not perfect. Sometimes we see situations that we have seen before and know for sure than nothing good could come out of them, due to the law of nature, the law of human nature or simply due to the overall order of the universe... but there is nothing we can do, cause changing any variables would cause even bigger misfortune. In such cases, there is nothing else to do than: ACCEPT, like it or not, agree or not... but: accept!
I don't want to give examples here... and I always believe there are miracles under the sun. But some things just..... happen, and we have no choice left than: acceptance.
How sad, isn't it?
Peace to you, too.

No. But respecting others for the fact they" are" is the answer.
Whether you agree or not has no bearing on respecting yourself or others as a way to the understanding of peace and love.....~p~

I try to accept people for who they are, including myself.I don't always agree with other people's opinions but I respect their opinions. I think sometimes it's our differences that make us interesting. I guess my answer is no you don't always have to agree with someone to accept them as a person. Sometimes it's a good idea to agree to disagree about a topic.

diversity is what makes learning a very interesting experience. if we all thought the same way we wouldn't be as wise and knowledgeable as we are through various thoughts and opinions. the idea of liking others with differing opinion is not as important as respecting their right to disagree with you if you want them to also respect your opposing opinion.
