Because history is written by its survivors. It's interesting to me that Jesus spent several years teaching his disciples, preparing them to carry on his work, yet after he died not one of them thought to write anything down about his ministry, until at least 20 years after his death -- some say up to 60-70 years later. This seems to be because they believed the world would end within their lifetimes (as would Paul, later on). Historical fact indicates that the original "Christianity" taught by Jesus's remaining followers was very unlike Paul's version of it.

The earliest (pre-Paul) "Christians" were Nazarenes, from the Essene sect, established by Jesus's brother James. They believed in reincarnation (literally being "born again" and finding enlightenment "as a child") and they practiced Jewish rituals. This was clearly the religion Jesus wanted — not Paul's perversion of it.

First, there are not 3 gods mentioned in the Bible. It starts in Deut 6:4 with there being one God. A God of united parts. and it goes on from there. The Holy Spirit is mentioned in the Old Testament as well.
That is why people believe Paul. He went back to the Old Testament to prove what he said.

In the Old Testiment Gods prophets told of a savior that would come to earth, to be a sacrafice for all, that happened, then Jesus was to die on the cross, for the ins of mankind, he did that, then he arose on the 3rd day, he told his deciples that he had to go back to the father, but he wold send a comforter, which was the Holy Ghost, he did that, it tell of it in Acts 2nd chapter I believe, but thats 3 right there, the Father God, the Son Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. And Paul did not write most of the Bible, maybe the new testiment, but not the the whole Bible.

There is mention of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit in the Old Test. But note Jesus didnt get that name till the new test. Genesis 1:26- Let US make man in OUR image.
Psalms 51:11- Take not thy Holy Spirit from me.
John 1:1- In the beginning was the word and the word was with God.
1 John 5:7- For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost.
Please read all of John chapter 1 and read all these verses I have given as well.

take one **** of paper and tear it to make three sheets. They are all three still paper they are of the same one sheet of paper. They each have all the aspects and characteristics of that same one sheet.

Paul did not write most of the bible!

5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6Who, being in very nature[a] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Philipians 2:5-8

Jesus mentions God the father thoughout the Gospels...Jesus speaks of the Holy Spirit in all of the Gospels often refering to the Holy Spirit as a Counselor. As to his own divinity as mentioned above Christ humbled himself but make no doubt Christ was God and it was for this that he was Crucified. The jews new that Christ through his actions and words was indeed claiming to be God. Only God can forgive sins and yet Jesus often forgave people there sins right in front of the religious leaders. The jews knew that Christ was claiming the authority of God.

You are right Jesus never mentions 3 Gods...but he does refer to himself the Holy Spirit and The father time and time again.

Please read the Bible before you start with the questions that are answered for you in the bible...it would be like me coming in here stating claims about Mohamed...I haven't read the Quran and don't care to.... You on the other hand must be searching for something that Islam has not given you. A war rages in your heart because there has got to be something better than destroying all your enemies.

St. Paul did not create the trinity; which is like a previous responders message not 3 Gods, but 3 images of 1 God. He traveled trying to convert cultures to believing that Christ was the messiah or support fledgling cultures who were forming belief. Each of his letters was targeted to a different group of people. Most if not all were written from jail.

Old Testament dealt with three God himself The Spirit and the Messiah (God with us)

Trinity was not Paul's therory.

The early church had to deal with the idea that there was God there was the Holy Spirit and there was Jesus. The Church knew each was divine but did not know how to deal with "ONE God". The only idea that fit was the Trinity

These people are called Paulists, but they think that they are Christians.

They were raised and mislead by other paulists who were also mislead into believing this nonsense.

It is like a cult that worships the thoughts of a gay apostolic pretender who never even met Jesus. His nonsense teachings are supported with threats of a judgmental God and ideas of eternal hellfire, damnation and punishment.

If followed closely these teachings are almost the exact opposite of what Jesus taught.

Paul only wrote the Pauline Epistles, even though there is some doubt of that. I do not believe in a trinity. That is a pagan concept. Jesus did not say there was a trinity.
