I was out in the sun too long yesterday, and now the part of my scalp where my hair was parted is burnt. How can I help this heal faster, and what are some ways to prevent this in the future without making my hair all greesy? Thanks!

Ow ow ow!
Putting rubbing alcohol on it might help. Sounds like it might hurt, I know, but its been a long standing sunburn relief.
Also, try to get a sunburn spray (like Solarcaine) to anestetize the area.
Anti-inflammatories (ibuprofen, aspirin) also help with the pain and itching.
In the future:
- use a spray-type, non-oily sunblock on your part
- wear a hat
-and/or style your hair in a way so their won't be a part.

I just went through this recently !! OUCH !!! It's really gross when it starts peeling too !!

What I did was take a little bit of sunscreen and rubbed it on my part trying to be careful not to get it all in my hair. I heard that they make hair sunscreen now too. For the pain you could use a little bit of the aloe type of lotions made for burns.

And it doesn't mean you're stupid because you get a sunburn. Sometimes you are in a situation that you didn't expect and it happens !
