We may have our religious differences, but, we don't go around killing each other over it. Our religious beliefs,Baptist, Episcopal, Catholic, Pentecost, Methodist, etc...is our personal decision, and we don't force it on each other, so why would we accept having an outsider come in, crash airplanes into buildings, and then push their religion off on us? Not going to happen.

as for the Crusades, I have an entire book set on the Crusades. That was a lojng time ago. Humans have been to the moon, and discovered electricity since then. I hope we would have evolved more since those days.

What makes me laugh is how after every point made something proves it...for example, when they were thinking of vetting plane passengers, particularly muslims, there was un uproar....but its only muslims that have been bombing us...and i'm not racist, or anything like that...but this whole thing with the pope, he wasn't saying muslims are violent...but what do they do? Burn an effegy of the pope....proving the point don't you think??

first of all, the acts of terrorism are being conducted by the fanatics. You shouldn't generalised these acts with other peace loving muslims. Just in case if you didn't know muslims are not allowed to force someone directly or indirectly into believing in the religion Islam. We can only inform others on the Islamic ways but ultimately it is the individual's decisions.

I do have to agree with ailolyen. Christianity also do have a violent past. The most famous one has to be the crusades. The war that was approved by the pope himself to recapture the holy land somehow involved most of the countries in europe and lasted for centuries. I interpret the wars as something that was based on the truth that was so badly stretched. I don't think other most muslim in these world generalised by saying all Christians are barbaric based on this history.

Anyway, rather than be influenced by the bad media, I suggest that you do your research first. At least then you can make an informed accusation. And if you want to know more about the crusades, I believe that there are plenty of materials on it online and offline.

Please, don't generalize. There are people that have faith and then there are fanatics. Its the fanatics who do things to the extreme and they exist on both sides of this conflict. Not to mention, most of the young muslim males that were involved in 9/11 were raised in a sectarian environment and educated abroad by christians. I think in the heat of the moment we forget these things.

Christians also have a violent history of going into other countries to "tame the wild savages". Not to mention Catholics and Protestants killing each other for years in Ireland. How would you feel if you found yourself ruled by a new family that happened to believe your religion inferior? Would you move, leaving everything you had built behind, or would you face death if discovered worshiping in your fashion? This has happened throughout history in Europe.

How about withholding aid and medicine if you don't believe in the christian literal bible fashion of abstinence? This is what our christian country does in Africa while supposedly sending aid for AIDS.

You may consider help with stipulations un-christian and besides the point. But in the big picture, this is how we are seen. These are the things we are judged by and found wanting.

It's not religion that supports terrorism, it's fanaticism, fundamentalism and especially a lot of greedy politicians who are after oil and controlling other countries and their resources.
Religion has nothing to do with it, it's just a facade, just an excuse for the horrible things that are going on! On both sides!
And who is forcing you to become Muslim? As far as I can see, it's the American politicians who think they're better than the rest of the world and trying to control it!

It is a matter of economics....by and large Muslim counties are improvished and they view the western world as evil because of what we have and they don't....and as in most improvished countires they over populate which adds to thier inprovishment....the bottom line is that a message of hate is all that thie leaders have to sell and hate sells when you are hungry
