My 14 yr. old was in a moderate accident and says she had seatbelt on. She has marks on right shoulder matching the seatbelt. I would like to know how to findout about the possibility of the seatbelt come undone on impact. She was in a 1996 cougar. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Go on Fords website or the NHTSA website and look up the recalls on the vehicle. They have to be reported, or the company will get sued.

Pull the seatbelt hard and suddenly. Imagine you are gonna crash and pull it. It should kind of halt or lock and not allow u to pull any further. But if it doesn't it means that it gotta be replaced.

pull the seatbelt hard, it should lock up, if it doesnt, you will need to replace it
