Why do Muslims kill in the name of their religion?
What God would allow it?

The attackers shot the nun three times in the back in a hospital in the south of the city, also killing her bodyguard before fleeing the scene.
The nun, who has not been named, is believed to be in her seventies.
It is unclear whether the shooting is connected with strong criticism by radical Somali clerics about the Pope's recent comments on Islam.
Hardline cleric Sheikh Abubakar Hassan Malin on Friday told worshippers at his mosque to hunt down and kill whoever offended the Prophet Mohammed.
Yusuf Mohamed Siad, security chief for the Union of Islamic courts (UIC) which controls Mogadishu, said two people had been arrested over the shooting.
There has been no effective central government in Somalia since 1991, and although the UIC is credited with bringing some stability to Mogadishu, correspondents say the city is far too dangerous for all but the bravest aid workers to operate in.

I'm a Muslim and I'm just as disgusted and horrified as you about the murder of the Italian nun.
Allah does not allow the murder of innocent people and whoever does so is punishable by death. An eye for an eye.
If you read that link carefully it says that 'the source has no specific evidence' that the nun was killed because of the Pope's remarks.
Wait until you have hard evidence before you start accusing ALL Muslims for the actions of a few.
I can honestly say that I have never killed anyone in the name of my religion.

Its the world we live in today.
Think back to 1970's and before. When did you ever think that our way of life would turn out the way it has.
Its not all Muslims that kill for the sake of Allah and Mohammad.
Its not what God allows, its what we as humans can do about it.
It is disgusting and it should stop but who is to stop it.
Its one evil person somewhere that created a so called following and said Allah wills it. In the mean time he who started this so called religion and said it was the Muslim way to mater yourself and to destroy everything is Islam,
He is the one killing and maiming others and what does he get out of it? Money and power. Its all about money and power.
A true Muslim is a peaceful person and would not harm others.
Islam is not a violent religion.
Its the ones who interpret Islam into their own kind of religion are the violent ones.
Something to think about.......
What about Hitler, he started a religion of his own.
What about others who have said they follow some kind of religion and end up killing thousands of their own followers.
Same thing happens thought out history.
Its what can we do to stop it.

How can you justify hating all members of one religion for the acts of a few. Jewish troops have killed many innocents in palestine and yet there is not global outcry and or a mass hatred of Jews. Of course they should not have killed an innocent nun but the nature of the crime serves to highlight the seirousness of the current situation. Religious intolerance is rife and dangerous to us all. Dont beleive everything you read in the papers

That is exactly what the filthy phallic worshiper wanted to stir. Your Pope should have looked into his Bible first, which he knows better than anyone else like the back of his hand, to see the level of violence and barbarity. Is he ignorant of the tenets and the true teachings of Islam? The answer is also No. His comments were carefully calculated and measured.

yes it is a shame for all life is precious but please let us not judge all Muslims by the actions of a few. this would be definitely unfair to condemn an entire group for the actions of a few.
