I havn't heard exactly what the Pope said, but agree with you that they should not overreact.
For example, when someone is bullying someone, if you give them a reaction, the bully will continue, because it is working. If you ignore them they will eventually stop. The Muslims constantly being outraged is simply encouraging those against Islam.
I think that this situation is almost similar to the outbursts over the Danish cartoons, where five people were killed as a result. I think that this is ridiculous; Christianity is open to persecution and criticism in every place; the medias for instance love to insult and us and give us their anti-christian views. However, if someone were to criticise Islam, it is not 'anti-Islam', no, it is racist.
I can appreciate, probably better than a lot of people, how awful it is to have something you believe in criticised and made fun of, but I also understand that to retaliate will only make the situation worse.
I think the day that they learn to control their anger will certainly be a good one for the whole world. Let us not forget that this anger in some cases results in terrorist attacks.
Christians have for eternity been persecuted and insulted by everybody, I'm talking Romans through to today. Why should Islam be free from this? I also think that people have a right to understand why Islam can be seen as reason for terrorism, especially as it is causing so much devestation throughout the world. Christians have nearly always been loving, kind and caring (the crusades were a mistake, I think everyone can agree on that) and perhaps people should give us a break. Muslims should calm down big time and try to make people love them by showing love themselves first.

they have dealt with the Pope diplomatically also.. In maximum Muslim countries Pope has an embassy(the enuncio) and his ambassadors were summoned with diplomatic courtesies. in basic terms one Enuncio develop into requested to %. up, and bypass again to seek more effective preparation from Vatican overseas Minister. different Enuncios offered 'regrets' over the unlucky episode, which may have under no circumstances occured contained in the Papacy of Paul VI and John of the Vatican II .

Well.. If Muslims took California and gave it to lets say.. Satanists. And gave the satanists weapons. Then governed how all Christians could do business in the world.. Then had a major religious figure say derogatory statements against your religion you would probably be pissed too.

From the beginning, the architects and authors of Western "made-for-mass consumption junk, have been serving us a buffet of lies surrounding the religion of Islam and its history with the West. Not just out of government mouthpieces, but virtually the entire "fascist neo-con" talk show parade as well as almost every big-name Christian evangelist. Their message has been common and crude: The religion of Islam teaches hatred for all other faiths, most notably the Christian and Judaic.
Yet, they never point to history as proof of their own blind hatred greed and lust for Muslim blood, and the "fury" with which the the Christian West swept across the Mediterranean lands, forcing the conversion of Muslims to their filthy crass culture and pervert life style at the point and the barrel of a tank.
On this misconception, there is a great deal more to write, most of it showing how current practices in many Muslim lands go against what the Qur'an and Sunnah have ordained, lands in which women are treated as property (unIslamic), are not educated (unIslamic), are forbidden their economic rights (unIslamic), and more. On this point in particular, we encourage everyone to consult the Qur'an and Sunnah before incriminating Islam. Always remember that Islam is a complete way of life from the Creator, and that Muslims are people who claim to follow that way of life. A Muslim may claim to follow Islam, but be wrong.
