Its just natural you have strong feelings for a stranger and you are trying as hard as you can to make a good impression
My advice to you is go bowling or some thing like that there you can spend time close and still get a chance to get up shake off your nerves and collect your self . before talking again . don't fret though grown men still shake in their boots thinking about dating . it is nerve wrecking but remember that little lady with you likes you and trusts you enough to be out on a date with you so she is going to be nervous to just be a gentleman and try to show her how a great guy acts after awhile you will become more comfortable with each other . good luck man

The fact that they've agreed to go on a date with you in the first place shows that they like you.

The only thing to be nervous about may be not knowing what to talk about or do, but if you're gonna go with them for a few months, a year or whatever, those things'll come naturally and it'll feel right anyway.

If they don't and things are awkward, that's probably what things'd be like in a relationship anyway, so you can just put it down to experience and get on to someone else who you do bond with.

If things go well, no reason to be nervous. If they don't, you can just be annoyed

You need to realize the other person is just as nervous as you. If you concentrate on making the other person feel at ease, that will relax you as well because it's giving your focus to something else other than yourself.
Above all, relax and have a good time!
Best of luck to you!

The only way to cure that is to go on more and more dates until you just don't get nervous anymore. And, you will always be a little nervous, but it's a manageable level.

nervousness is part of the social dance of dating.. who's to say that your date is not as nervous as you.. take short deep breaths. try to talk about common things that you guys know about. your school, classmates, TV shows. share some funny anecdote about yourself.. make her laugh.. your date agreed to go out with you for a reason.. and that's reason enough to help you relax.

Try to make your date something funny and exciting or messy, like cooking a meal together, or making something.
drink a little bit (NOT a lot) if you're really nervous.
you can also decrease the appearance of nervousness by standing or sitting up straight and keeping still while you talk.

Why overcome it? It shows the girl you like her a lot and that you care about what she thinks of you. Be nervous and she'll like you too!

One never really does. But you know what? At times it helps being nervous, you'll see. You cannot be too confident. But try to relax by FEELING each moment and getting into it and going with its flow. You'll do fine, buddy.
