Lack of knowledge of what Christ Jesus has done. Yes it is true that we are sinner saved by grace, but after you receive Jesus in your heart you are change. That means that the old life is passed away, and everything about you is new (2 Cor. 5:17). I

Read 1 John I think in chapter 1. We are not perfect yet. A good verse I have often ponder on is 1 John 5:18. It says who ever is born of God sinneth not. I think those who are saved do sin but our sin is done paid for, past, present, and future. I think we still need to ask for forgiveness cause we can ruin our fellowship, but not relationship. A saved person sins are no longer judged but the works we do will be. And do not think this give us a right to sin all we want cause it dont.

Because they are. The word "sin" comes from a greek word "hamartano" which means to "fall short of the mark" like an arrow that's fired at a target and falls to the ground about ten feet in front of it. The 'target' for the Christian is to emulate the character of God. Being a Christian simply means they've accepted God's gift of a new life. After accepting the Christ gift they are still 'short of the mark' but working towards it.

because we still sin. becoming born again does not mean that we magically stop sinning, it means that we are now free from the control of the devil, and are no longer OBLIGATED to sin. but without spending time in the bible, we have no POWER to stop sinning because faith comes by hearing the word of God.
We cannot arrive at a sinless life until our flesh stops working and we give up our meat suit. But we can, through the grace of God stop our habitual sinning. and this is how we demonstrate our love for God, in denying our fleshly desires so that we can follow him, and do what his word says.
be ye perfect, the word perfect there means to be sanctified, (change made complete) this is we strive towards,

wow great logic
why don't we all, after seeing the sillyness of religion and divisiveness, in the end accept all people and let a god or whatever worry about who did what?
sin....in one language means without
some call it a crime against humanity or self
sin is harm to self, and ultimately to others
and pushing religion against others will is harm but by accepting a Jesus they just bought into the idea they are special and chosen ones
which creates and breeds more exclusive reasoning and harm to humanity and intollerance, division and ultimately wars and death
what would jesus do? well maybe the question is what will you do?
we only have now to bank on, let's use this opportunity to look beyond 'what is sin' and do something noble and honorable today

Even as Christians, we still are sinners by our old nature.
As Christians, we are sinners SAVED BY GRACE.
We should NOT continue to sin (in an on-going manner) but we also recognize that we have not reached perfection, that we still come short of what He would have for us.

No human is perfect we are all sinners. The difference is that christians who have accepted Jesus have accepted his gift of taking the burden for our sins upon himself. Christians know that because they believe in Jesus they will be given absolution for their sins and be granted admission into heaven upon their death.
