Here is the information posted by the Dog Breed Info Center Regarding the Schnoodle \
Schnauzer / Poodle Hybrid
The Schnoodle is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Schnauzer and the Poodle. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. This hybrid cross is recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

I have always heard good things about them, and that they do have some energy, and they are smart(poodles are smart dogs as well as a schnauzer so the mix would have to be good)...I included a few things from some sites i found, and included the links for you to have and research these cute pups! Good luck!!!!
Schnoodles are a cross between a Schnauzer and a Poodle. On a range of 1-10, 10 being the most active (like a Jack Russel Terrier!), they will generally fall in the range of 4-7. Most have a soft and fluffy coat, which is non-shedding, and quite well tolerated by most people with allergies. Schnoodles are quite intelligent and easily trained. They have a more active nature, like terriers, but do enjoy settling down while you read a book or watch TV.

Oh come on people, we're talking about a mutt here. You can't say what it is going to be. It's like going to the humane society and saying the rottweiler/lab mix is going to have the best of both breeds. You can't guarantee them, that's why so many people are against this whole designer dog craze which is just a quick way for people to make money and it destroys dogs in the meantime.
Although personality of a dog is important as it must fit your lifestyle, so is health and breeder ethics. What health tests have been done on the parents? How can you be sure of anything with the puppy since you have no idea how these genes are going to cross in the mix breed.
Why is the breeder doing this litter? Is it to make money? Does that sound like a good reason to bring more dogs into the world when there are so many in shelters already? Is it to make pets for people? Again, how is that a good reason?
Petfinder.com lists many many dogs that have no homes. Support them, not these mills and backyard breeders. The only way to get them to stop damaging dogs is to stop supporting them.

I can't speak for the oodle part, but schnauzers have great personalities and are generally fairly smart. I saw a news clip after hurricane katrina about a schnoodle that saved his owner from drowning.

Well.. my girlfriend got 2 schnoodle puppies a while back and i have to say that they are really cool. They are good inside dogs, but they love to run and play outside. They don't get too big and their the perfect thing to have run up and lay on your lap! The puppies have seemed to have gone through a little rough time with their teething, but i really like them.
