It is so unfair. People don't even know the other's religion and they keep judging them like it is the worst religion and their selves have the best one ever.

If they want to compare, they should study the religion they are in and the religion they want to compare indepthly.. not just vague knowledge that they asked from their neighbours.

Its pure discrimination and ignorance.

Do you think this is what religion is all about? Even if you think you are in the best religion... other people have their own experiences and therefore choose their religion for a reason. there's no right to tell them off.

What do you think?

I think you make a fair point, but you are slightly misrepresenting the issue.

Religion is a statement about the nature of the universe and the world. Most people (not all, I fully admit) believe what they do because they were brought up to do so. They have often not even questioned themselves.

It is possible to question someone's religion legitimately without ignorance. There are lot of people on Y!Answers who DON'T do this and say things like "all muslims are terrorists" or "all christians are idiots" etc etc. But many people who do question the beliefs of others have taken the time and effort to find out about many religions and in some cases may know more about the religion than the believer.

Everyone has a right to question everyone else - an open honest debate is not something to be afraid of.

What I think you're getting at is mindless "bashing" of people for the sake of doing so, and I agree with you that this is wrong.

Mostly we question whether a religion steeped in violence that oppresses it's own people such as Islam is truly a reigion or an idiotic cult. I'm leaning toward the latter having read the Quran, but I'll keep an open mind.

There are over 900 denominations of religion in the world, I could tell you a little about each one & why I don't belong to them, I am a Christian, But not a denomination. Just some of the little wrongs they do, is enough for me not to be in that stuff. So yes I know something about them all.

I agree everyone haves a right to believe in whatever they want to. People annoy me who sit in here and tell people they are going hell cause they aren't a christian and such. I don't see why they can't just be happy with their beliefs and let others do the same.

I think you should first ask yourself, who the hell gave someone the idea that his,her religion is better than others ?! There is also always a kind of manipulation in almost all religions.

The basics of a, let's say... decent society..is to create life ,not to destroy it.
The basic of the word "humanity"..is "do no harm"...then ..what kind of experiences can one have ...to decide is better to kill all that is different then you.
I don't think we judge.....but i think that after all the distruction..even these days ,cuz of what the Pope said ...we have the right...at least....to ask.

I think you make a very good point. There is enough hate and prejudice in the world it does not need to be added to.

Christians believe they are right, and that their faith is true. As a consequence they believe other religions are wrong, and that others are closer to hell as a result.

Personally, i think they're all wrong. Period.
