Religion these days is being held responsible for all the unhappiness in the world whereas the sole purpose of any religion is exactly the opposite.

We all point fingers at others religions saying they're fanatics and they spread hatred and inequality.

No religion is bad, what one needs to understand that fanaticism is not going to take one religion ahead of the other, religion is a matter of personal choice.

Religion in itself is divine, preaching and forcibly making people see or accept it is the culprit.

I think all religions have the same goal, to make the world a better place. But when people misinterprate or when they are brain washed then thats when problems start.

I personally believe that If you are a good person and the people around you are good people then the world will be a good place. But when you have people with no friends to talk to, no one to see when they have problems, is just like the world is against them then when they meet people who are cable of using religion as a tool to bring people apart that is wrong. But if all religions are to bring people together then many religions will be a good thing.

of course it would be a better place but try telling them to live their lives without a guide. and humans will never accept other religions so the only thing that ends fanatical troubles is when the fanatics die and find out if they were right

Thinking about it, it feels like it would be a better place, however, there are many other differences and opinions that exist among people in the world today. We have different cultures, races, political opinions etc. I believe that as long as these differences exit, the world will always be divided in one way or another. It makes me wonder what is the one thing that can truely unit all human beings?

Nope. we'd still find things to fight over. Plus, even w/o religion ppl w/ still wonder a/b creation, and argue over if another's theory is more or less logical then their own. So it is inevitable that there be many religions.

Religion has been the reason for most wars, tragedies and sufferings of humanity just because every one wishes the other human being to follow his God.

No because religions influence man and many art masterpieces would not have ever been made.
ex. Requiem (Mozart)
Madonna of the Rocks (Leonardo da Vinci)

There I am with you. If with a magic want we could banish all religions from the face of the earth we will live in paradise. Religion has lost its use. We do not need any one of them any more.
