I like this guy.He's pretty nice to me. He's got this really cute smile and an adorable south african accent. He keeps calling me the 'mexican girl' or 'the puerto rican chick' (even though I don't come from any of those places and he knows that) some people think that he likes me and 'flirts' with me. There are times where i think he does like me like one time at a party he sat on me and pretended to 'not know' and kept staring at me. He's always making me laugh alot, and putting his arm around me.sometimes I'm quite certain he likes me. but unfortunatly tons of other 'prettier' and 'skinnier' girls like him too. He's known to be quite a flirt too. I got really discouraged when I was told by a friend that he was talking about some 'hott' girl...and refered to me as 'some mexican girl' ..
I doubt i really make much sense...but the question I have is, how can you tell if a guy likes you? and not just on your looks

maybe he just calls me by a different name and nationality just to be 'cute'? I mean, he is actually a polite guy..just a pretty big Flirt...sigh... I overheard him talking with two girls about spending time in his beach house during spring break..

You have already had him disrespect you by calling you by another heritage and not your name. Guys flirt to test the water to see what they can get. If he doesn't come out and say he has a special interest in you beyond friendship then don't put more into it than there is because you will be the one hurt. The first step would be for him to recognize and call you by your name. It's alright to play but it can be hurtful too.

You should look elsewhere for your dating experiences. This guy IS a flirt and a JERK! If a guy really like s you, he will respect you. He won't flirt with anyone else and won't talk about you behind your back. And he definitely won't SIT on you to get your attention. He will compliment you, with honest, heartfelt compliments. He will be polite toward you, and be willing to do most anything you want to do like go to your favorite places with you, help you with your homework, take you to movies you want to see, even if they are not his kind of film. If you like him, you should be willing to return these favors. If any guy wants sex with you before he really knows you, dump him, immediately !! He doesn't care about your feelings, or reputation. He only wants to satisfy HIS biological urges. He is not good , healthy relationship material.

Be upfront and just ask him what is going on. If you like, you can tell him that you need to know how he feels about you so you can figure out how you feel about him. But you need to ask him directly because I highly doubt that you're going to find out for sure any other way, and in the mean time, one of those "prettier" or "skinnier" girls might decide to move in while you're still trying to puzzle things out.

You know it sounds like he does like you but I bet there are guys out there that you like and that's where it ends. I think if you try to hard your gonna end up getting used and dumped then it will be hard for him to be the friend that it sounds like you are enjoying now

look ta da ppl around u...& u'l notice relationships where they promised undying love 2 eachother da 1st day & da other day 1 of em either cheatd on other or walked away for some 1 else..
U CAN NEVER EVER PREDICT whether he loves u or not ...u need 2 give it sometime till he makes his intentions clear 2 u....& neither u wanna take any hasty decisions 2day 2 regret 2moro....
as for him talking 2 other girls...& calling u by different girls names...
either he's a big time flirt dat he doesnt membas all other gals names..so he calls em wid such name dat no mistake happens...

he may like you but...
he's one big flirt...
and I doubt that he can be "trusted"
he may be fun to be with and all
but if he really likes you...
he should've told you by now...
but there are more guys out there that are more cute-er
and less flirty...
