Hello Eddie!! :o) I think that's a great question. Affording people [through the law] the 'right' to do things is a tricky balancing act. If - for example - the U.S. President declared that everyone has the 'right' to do anything they want to do - the U.S. would very quickly crumble into a heap. So one has to carefully consider what effect giving some people 'rights' might have on other people's 'rights'. And YOUR right - no one wants any of their 'rights' to be infringed upon - just so someone ELSE can have 'rights'. But that happens every now and then. Sometimes - however - people think that a group of people should NOT be given the 'right' to do something just because it makes them FEEL uncomfortable. But that's not really a valid reason. [At least not always] This is especially true if by affording a particular group of people a 'right' does NOT actually infringe upon or effect in any way other people's 'rights'. RIGHT?! Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

I think some people don't know how to handle the responsibility of having rights and should be servants to the ones who have the intelligence and power to lead in a good direction.

Do you have a right to copy music, software and videos from friends, neighbors or strangers off the internet? Are your rights superior to Warner, Sony, Paramount, Fox? Do they have the right to have to arrested if they can prove you are doing this to them, which is their right under the law. They also have to right to demand you be fined $250,000 per violation.

The law gives them rights. The right to makes exclusive copies.

The law gives you rights, to make clones from property you own, to make copies of materials owned by CLOSE BLOOD relatives (not friends or strangers on Kazza) or if you are a teacher or library. Other than that you have no rights to copy.

All we were given by God was life, forgiveness, and free will. All the U.S.A. gives is " the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." You cannot force these upon anyone or else you forfeit them.

You should have the right to tell me what you think, not to tell me what to do!
We have the right not to listen but this would be a dumb choice because then we would never learn anything!

Your questions sounds good to some people but it is all smoke.
Please define "Rights" "Right"
To what do you refer?

Certainly you don't think anyone has the right to murder, or steal, or cheat, or lie? Then I agree with you. So, certainly we must stop criminals who are using their right to live by imposing on other people's right of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

If I read between the lines I assume your are busting on religious people; more specifically Christians who share their faith? Or do you refer to Usam Bin Laden who has the right to share his faith but who is choosing to do it by blowing up people?

Please tell us, what rights do you refer?

Do you wish to take away freedom of religion? freedom of speech? freedom of the press? freedom to care about other people?

Do you wish to impose new rights; NO ONE MAY SPEAK TO ME ABOUT RELIGION BECAUSE IT IMPOSES ON MY RIGHT NOT TO LISTEN
NO ONE MAY TELL ME THE TRUTH ABOUT PORNOGRAPHY, SEX, DRUGS, ALCOHOL, HEAVEN, HELL AND ANYTHING ELSE BECAUSE I HAVE THE RIGHT TO JACK OFF, SCREW WOMEN, BLOW MY MIND ON DRUGS AND ALCOHOL AND PERHAPS KILL PEOPLE WITH MY CAR AND I DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT HEAVEN AND HELL BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT-IT INTERFERES WITH MY X-BOX GAMES.

Your question shows you have not properly thought through what objections you might have.

Religious wackos live in their own fantasy world and have no respect for the rights of others not suffering from the same delusion as they do.
