him and not any other guy...he answered me with f*** and so I then said OK bye and he replied s***...He is a 9th grader we know each other and this was all on IM..I am so hurt. I am oversees and want to leave the country.

Sometimes, guys like to respond with a vulgarity even if they don't mean to in a bad way, because it does show an extreme emotion, and they are not sure how else to express themselves.
Eg. "You won the lottery" Guy goes, " What the f***! Holy S***!Really? F***! WOW!"
So no he didn't think of hurting you at all! Plus the fact that it was in an online conversation, being a guy and one who conversates online with other guys plenty, I know that we like to greet each other with "vulgarities". Like "Hey b*****!" We do it as a friendly way of greeting each other, its a way of showing that we are friendly enough to accept such "vulgar" talk.
Probably, he must be either overjoyed or shocked.
I'm pretty sure you should clarify things with him.

maybe he didn't like it when you told him that you like him only as a friend. maybe he wants to be more than friends.
