Acceptable to whom?
Age does not matter between partners; they just have to put up with other peoples prejudice's.

Firstly both people have to be over 18.

Then I would say up to 15 years is ok. But its best for the man to be older. But the best age gap is about 3 to 5 years.

The younger you are the bigger an age gap is (i.e. if you're 15 and going out with a 22 year old, 7 years is too much, but if you're 45 and with a 52 year old it can be perfect).

If your love is strong and you're over 18 then go for it whatever the gap.

I think it very much depends on the age of the youngest partner and also their level of maturity. For instance if a twenty year old was with a forty year old i would say that is too much but allow the same age difference was that of a thirty year old and a fifty year old it would be quite different. Although age may bring experience, i believe that all ages may find different things in common. It very much depends on the individuals involved.

I don't think there's an "acceptable age gap". I think that it has more to do with the individuals maturity level than anything else. I know some people in there 20s who have more stability and maturity than people I know who are in there 40s.

once ur both adults i dont belive there is such a thing as an acceptable age gap! age is just a number and if u love and care about each other it dosnt matter wheather ur older by a year or ten yrs.

just my opinion. my partner is 14yrs older than me.
