I personally believe God and Jesus are different. God wasn't very hearted, either you did right or you did wrong no in between. Jesus is more forgiving than God. I like the idea's of God myself, either you keep up or you fall no in between.

i'll give you another possible answer that very few ever hear...
i say Jesus is A God.. that there are two entities..God the Father and God the Son..they have always been.. and always together..but the Father is in charge.. but Jesus (the Word) has power in His own right..i always thought of it as God made the plans..and the Word made it happen..... in Genesis a passage states that the Word was with God, and the Word was God..i submit the correct translation is, the Word was with God, and the Word was (A) God... a very minor thing..but a major impact in meaning. when you read of the tower of babel... God says let US go down... i dont believe He was talking to Himself ...
i say all this to bring up this... Jesus was a messenger from God..but not just a messenger. Can you imagine two entities that have been together since infinity and the one in charge sending the other to take human form (not a big miracle for an omnipotent being) ...not just to be a messenger...but to provide a sacrifice so we can be reconciled with our Father... and not only just to be a sacrifice...but to show how much our Father loves His creations--
and because of Jesus, we cannot stand before God and point a finger and tell Him.."you dont know what its like for us... you are God !! how can you feel what we feel? He can because HIS SON was given as a sacrifice... and for Jesus... talk about a demotion!!!! from omnipotent to flesh ...??? and then to be rejected by the very ones He was here to save ?? how hard was that for a being that could just wipe us all out with a thought... anyway..a different version for u to consider... Jesus was a lot more than any messenger ... but believe as you wish--- the truth will be revealed to EVERYONE in the end

Jesus was a messenger sent from God but he is much more.
First, no human on earth fully understands the triune nature of God( the trinity) God: Father, Son, Holy Spirit
Second, the Bible makes it plain that Jesus is God, he is God the son. The use of "Son" is to show a relationship parallel, not to literally mean there are three different gods.
Third: Yes, Jesus was sent by God the father to teach us; to teach us what?
Think of it in this way; if there is a God who created everything then he is of course of knowing and all powerful. Now, do you honestly think man could find this God? No way, God can easily keep us from finding him if he wants. So, since God is also Love, he wants us to know Him. What better way to know Him than for Him to come on down to earth in a form we can understand; as another human being.
So, yes, Jesus is a messenger, he is a messenger from God but he is also God himself.
The last verse of the Gospel of John says that if everything Jesus did and said was written down that not even the whole world could contain all the books that would have to written.
You see, we have just enough knowledge to allow us to make an informed decision about Jesus and salvation. The real question for all of us is; what are we going to do with Jesus Christ.

The greek philosophers concluded 400 years before Christ that the universe was created not by chance but in an orderly fashion by the thought of an infinitely wise being (God).
Jesus is the "word" or "thought" (logos) of God. As the "thought" of God he is infinitely complete and perfect so much that he is a second person of the same and only God (Jn. 1:1 - In the beginning was the word... and the word was God)
That "thought" became incarnate through Mary, and lived among us

Questions about Jesus, or Questions designed to convert or recruit people to Jesus are simply a waste of time. People have already decided for the most part if they believe in the fiction written in the bible. People who feel God talks to them have psychological problems because hearing voices is a psychological illness. %-}

No Jesus was not just a messenger but God incarnate, we refer to him as his son because he was in the flesh, but Jesus says if you have seen him you have seen the father, I and the father are one. The trinity is father son, and holy ghost, 1 God 3 dist-ink personalities or manifestations of him! But they are one

unlike our protestant brother, we catholics believe that jesus is the son of God. we believe in the holy Trinity i.e. the father (God), the Son ( jesus), and the Holy Spirit.
no Jesus was never the Messenger oF God. he is the Son of the Living God. he came down to Earth to Fulfill his Father's will. (please read the BIBLE)
God bless

In scripture it explains that God new that we would not be able to understand him unless he came in a form we could relate to. Scripture also said that the Son of man must die for our sins in likeness to us. To show that he resisted temptation in our form and finished what he was here for even at the worst torture a body could take. So that we might understand what hope and love truly are. Because God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son....
