Many sages have asked this question. In an Indian language Tamil, there is a saying that those who have found do not speak and those who speak have not yet found. Though in a different context the same reply can be given here. When you really find who You are you are a realised soul and you are lost in your won knowledge. There is an incident from another Indian sage's life. Swami Vivekananda asked his guru Ramkrishna Paramhansa that he wanted money to help his mother. The guru told him, 'you call Kali your mother, why don't you go to the temple and ask her.' Vivekanand said yes that is a good idea and rushed to the temple. He was in meditation for hours and came out all thrilled and beaming. The guru asked him 'did you ask her'. Vivekanand did not understand what the guru was asking about. He clarified, 'you wanted money and I suggested that you ask your diving mother before you went in to meditate'. Oh, yes master but as I saw that wonderful form I was so much lost in bliss that I could never think of asking Her anything. It is not possible.

At times I do wonder is it really me doing this or someone else? So far the most terrifying experience for me is that one morning when I was teaching, I felt like some one else was doing the work for me while I was just an on looker or an obsesrver of my own class. I hadn't slept well the previous night, and I wonder if this had anything to do with this experience. Good question, I like it.

Most people find out who they are after asking me, age does not matter nor do "life experiences" (which is redundant you know). I certainly know who I am, as I did from the moment of birth. Now since you didn't ask "who am I" I will refrain from telling you as I would most certainly just get another violation email from the great Yahoo god from some pansy liberal who got their self-esteem shattered.

Congradulations! You have just asked the question that one must answer to find out thier meaning of existance. This question will be asked many times throughout life by you, me, and everyone else. Knowingly or unknowingly. A question that even the most spiritual leaders of all time will ask themselves constantly. From prophets to sages. From the wise to the unprudent. To let you know, in this question all are equal. I myself do not know who I am so I am no more than description brought to life. I am a seeker who desperately wants answer and peace to the salvation and well being for myself. Soul survival. I am religous, but not to the sense of most. I have read the bible and the quran many times. And the final conclusion thereafter was for one to ask themselves that question you have just asked. But it is not worth anything if you are not willing to answer it honestly. So I will tell you my answer to one a question that has the best meaning till your time of death.
I am islamic. I am buddhist. I am hanif. I am of the past present and future. I am patient. I am kind. I am a friend. I am a morality. I am a quality you lack. I am a quality you possess. I am your lost will and you are mine. I am candid. I am one who seeks truth. I am one who bears till death. I am humble. I am calm. I am a scorpio. I am a dog. I am lost. I am found. I am my path. I am like no other. I am "ME". Comparable to none. I am love. I am peace. I am carefree. I care. I am a stereotype. I am true.
Some people do not really find out who they are untill they die. I am a BIG acceptor of the hereafter. There is "life" and then there is "everything else that comes along with it". That being pain and suffering. Bliss and comfort. Then back to pain and suffering. I personmally found out who I am when GOD called me. And at that point, you have no choice but to answer. Because as I just said, there is no choice. And HE/SHE/IT is not jesus. Remember, even the christians know there is another GOD besides jesus. They just choose to call him the father. But that is still not my GOD. But to each his own. After that I started to read "a lot". Mostly religous books. It is peace. Complete serenity. So I know who I am. I am owned by GOD and I will be his helper till I die by just being me and no other. Then I go home. Where my ancestors wait. At times I wish everyone could come. but GOD has other plans. Like the fullfillmant of HIS name. And HE proved how HE/SAHE/IT sits patiently as if HE hears nothing. But SHE hears all. Everybody is promised. And that is how I found me. My GOD found it for me and showed that HE is my Friend. Oh my, how nice SHE can be and HOW much of a fool I can be. But I guess my flaws are what makes me perfect. BYE LOVE! Pretty eyes.(from the avator that is)
PEACE TO THE GOD!

I'm a soul.
I think when you realize you are the person who you were before you were born in this world and when you realize you are the person you will be after your body dies, then you know who you really and truly are.
when you finally see yourself for who you really are, you will smile, you will cry and you will say... there you are! you were there all along.
