Does anyone know of a Linux programme that can not just read but also write, alter and even delete files that are on the XP NTFS drive.
There is no problem reading any data but as I am increasingly using Linux (Suse10.1 at the moment) but a lot of my data is on Windows it would be helpful to be able to not just access but alter as well

There's a fairly recent project called Linux NTFS which is available at http://www.linux-ntfs.org - it allows you to read and write to NTFS partitions. I've not given it much time myself, but from what I've heard, it seems quite good.

Have fun!

There are quite a few approaches to get it: - use FAT32 filesystem form (domicile windows XP & Linux can see FAT32 partitions by potential of default) - use NTFS (present day Linux additionally can see NTFS partitions, although that is achievable that some Linux tuning would desire to be accomplished previously - get and deploy some NTFS filesystem drivers) - use EXT2 (some plugins/utility to domicile windows available that permit to artwork with EXT2 partitions) I recommend to objective NTFS, my Ubuntu (Edgy) can works with NTFS by potential of default. i think FC6 can do it to.
