Homosexuality has at least three aspects. There are homosexuality per se, common homosexual practices, and the homosexual lifestyle. I see nothing wrong with homosexuality per se.

But homosexuals have an extremely high rate of STDs. Contributing factors are their extremely hazardous practice of anal sex and their apparently rather high level of promiscuity.

Unless I get information, which "pro gays" are loathe to provide, which shows my position to be wrong, I oppose homosexuality. I do, however, favor *equal* rights for gays.

[It seems to me that most of the responders here are failing to draw a distinction between homosexuality per se and the other two aspects. In particular, most folks seem to define "homosexuality" as meaning "engages in anal sex." But straights also engage in anal sex. Furthermore, why would anyone consider oral sex between two men an abomination? Did God make a woman's mouth any more for a penis than a man's mouth? And no procreation ever occurs from oral sex, so why wouldn't heterosexual oral sex also be an abomination? I can see a person saying that anal sex is an abomination, but I see no sense in saying that homosexuality per se is an abomination.]

Here are my responses to a few of the above entertaining answers:

Alucard: Then why respond?

Sean: Meant by whom, you or someone else?

Bungyow: Do you agree with everything God says, or do you use your own God-given brain?

Eternity: Is it really their wish?

Hello: They do if they’re gay penises.

Nurendi: Ignorance makes people happy. Does this mean ignorance is OK?

askHolyBu: Did God create the penis for the mouth? If not, we should forbid all oral sex, right?

Aerianne: Disease is also a part of nature.

Shardf: OK, let’s imitate animals. My German Shepherd grabbed poo from our toilet and dropped it on a library book. Maybe I should try the same thing.

Colorado: Very original. Let’s forbid all oral sex—hetero and homo—because it doesn’t result in kids.

The Pope and Hi Artie Fufki…: You folks definitely have some wisdom.

2Pac’s: Right on dude! Let’s educate ‘em right. Let’s tell them whatever it is you said. Man, I ain’t got a clue what you just said ‘cause it don’t make no sense dude.

Bobkgins: How are you going to educate them, by demonstrating what anal sex looks like? Why pity them because, to the extent that they are ignorant, they are happy anyway; think of all the company they have. And love is the *cause* of all fear. There are no exceptions at all.

Truly curious: For gays, the penis is the “male” part and either the anus or the mouth is the “female” part. So, what’s the problem?

PLO: How do gays react anytime someone dares to question them?

Tommy: The loud mouthed Christians may feel this way. But how do the others feel? And what does it matter whether they are "Christian"?

Andrew W: Is it really only the Christians?

MC Hummer: Could it be that "homosexuality" is only a bunch of practices and a lifestyle? Could it be that "black men" and "jews" refer to the people themselves?

Amiko-Gab: Do you have a serious problem with people who don't have any Bibles?

Seph: But monkeys do not go to heaven, now do they? I wonder why. Could it be that they're a bunch of sinners?

Grandreal: Right on, ace. Let's chop down some more rain forests. Let's pollute the air, land, and water. Thanks a heap. What are you, natural or unnatural?

It isn't.

What gets me is how Christians go on about how it is an abomination, but conveniently neglect things that are even more of an abomination against nature, like war and murder and how we are killing the planet with our pollution and whatnot. It's prejudice, pure and simple.

Often, Christians cite the whole "Well, humans were designed for procreation and homosexual sex isn't for procreation." Fine. I'm pretty sure God (such that a God exists) didn't specifically design the penis and the mouth to be used in conjunction with each other, but oral sex is a damn fine innovation.

I swear that for every 25 questions we get one of them is about why homosexuality is an abomination. I'm not a Christian or Theist, so I don't care what it is. What I do care is to see the same question every single day about 5 an hour.

It's NOT!!!
An abomination of nature is when some member of the human race act and feel as if they are superior to their own kind and therefore try to humiliate and sometimes, make other people feel inferior to them!
WE'RE ALL HUMANS! SO, LET'S ACT MORE HUMANELY!!!
LOVE IS FOR ALL BEINGS!!!

Today, it's "homosexuality is an abomination". Fifty years ago, it was "black men want to rape white women". One hundred years ago, "jews killed jesus".

The religious lie to justify hate. Theists can't get away with bigotry on rational grounds, so they have to make something up.

I have a serious problem with people who don't read their own Bibles... Do you wanna know what the Bible says about homosexuals? Here are the verses. Suggested reading for Christians as well as non-Christians.

I don't think it is an abomination. It's their wish to like their own sexes, Who are we to decide, I agree with you. It should not be regarded as an abomination.

Nature is very interesting. It gave males a thing and females a thing so that they fit together very nicely for the purpose of creating a new individual. So, when a male places his thing into another male it only creates a dirty thing, not a new individual thus an abomination. You see nature did not give out these things so that people could pleasure themselves so even females placing things into other females is an abomination against nature. It is basicly a "thing" issue.

Yes, I personally think it is, but that does not mean that I hate homosexuals. I just do not get the sex thing, seems like it is against nature. Do you see animals doing it to the same sex? I just think that God made us to have sex between a man and a woman to have children. Gay people cannot do that. You know, they are only simulating the real act, but just either artificially, or in the wrong area. I have met some really nice homosexual people and they seem to be ok with themselves, so guess I am saying, I just cannot judge, that is for God.
