counter top? I thought it was hot plate....but I think hot plates are those electric burners you can plug in, right? These things can be made out of wood, ceramic, sometimes with a handle...or sometimes just a thick piece of cloth. Does anyone know what it's called?? I can't remember for the life of me!! - PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks - Amy

Trivet or a hot plate. Hot plates are also something you can plug in to heat up things. Two different things called the same thing.
