Every verse I can find that cites homosexuality as a sin specifically says "do not lie with a man as you would with another man." To me, if you are a literalist (and most Bible-thumping wingnuts are), this means that at the very least, God isn't concerned with lesbians, and at the very most, God sanctions girl-on-girl action. Also, I'd add that most of your Biblical heavyweights had more than one wife. Now ask yourself this question. If you were going to have more than one wife, wouldn't you at some point have both of them in the same bed? I mean, otherwise, what would be the point of having two or more women in the same house? And if you're in bed with two women, then wouldn't you encourage those two women to interact with each other? This is why the Bible doesn't mention lesbianism. Because men had a vested interest in its existence then.

Strangely enough, the Bible mentions homosexuality between men and forbids it in Leviticus 18:22 "Thou shall not lie with mankind as with womankind: It is an abomination.", it doesn't seem to say anything about homosexuality between women.
Some theologians have interpreted Leviticus 18:22 to mean all homosexuality. Others, on the contrary, think it only applied to homosexual acts associated with a specific pagan ritual in the land of Canaan. Personally, I don't think you could use it, because it really only specifies men.
Of course it's your business, but why do you feel the need to interfere, anyway? They're not hurting you, or anybody else. The Bible also says we can't eat pork and oysters (they come from the sea and don't have scales), yet most Christians today ignore those commands. To me, the spirit of Christianity is much more important than the letter of the law. Also, the Bible was put together through centuries of Church decisions as to what should and shouldn't be included as sacred text. I don't understand the kind of literalism that you seem to be advocating. And frankly, if someone is gay, I really don't think reading a passage from the Bible to them will change anything about it. Anyway, I hope you found this informative. Best of luck to you.

I would like to tell you to keep your nose out of other people's business...I think there is a passage in the Bible about pointing out the speck in another persons eye when you may have a log in your own.
If you want to be a beach then go ask your preacher if there is a bible passage against lesbianism that you can hurl at his daughter why don't you. This is called using the bible as a weapon of assault.

Homosexuality is strongly spoken against, however it is male male homosexuality that is specifically referred to
Leviticus 18:22 instructs men not to lay together with men in the same way they lay together with women,
However read Romans 1:26
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Gen 19 1-13
Lev 18 22
Lev 18 29
Lev 20 13
Rom 1 26-27
Rom 1 32
1Cr 6 9-11

why are you so concerned about what your preachers teenage daughter is doing? and what were you doing in the parking lot of a bar? im not too sure, but i think there is a passage in the bible about being a gossip monger, you might want to check on that one while you are looking to judge other people.

I am amazed so many people here are telling you to mind your own business.
One is not to pick the cinder from another's eye when they have have a branch sticking out of thier own eye!
He among you without sin cast the first stone.
There are also citations against FORNICATION, I certainly hope no one who is critical of homosexuality has ever had ANY sexual contact prior to marriage or you, too, can end up in hell for your behaviour is NO better, according to the Bible.
I'm just quoting, not passing judgemetn.
You're not suppose to mastrubate, touch yourself, touch another's body outside of marriage.
Just because you marry them doesn't make prior behavior necessarily right!
It's the sheer fact you did it before marriage.
This applies to both gays and straights.
Marriage is not a direct aspect of the Bible.
There is NO marriage ceremony nor liturgy in the Bible.
Marriage is a device created by man
God simply expects everyone who KNOWS someome to then take them for life and KNOW them for life, unless they sleep around and KNOW others at the same time, then you can set them aside.
Since marriage is a device of man (I defy ANYONE to find a formal marriage ceremony listed in the Bible) any MAN who denies the sanctity of marriage to anyone is forcing them to live an unchast life.
When marriage is freely available to all, then it becomes free will. So long as marriage is denied some, it is MAN who forces them to sin.
I can't see God condeming anyone who is FORCED to sin by the will of man.
There are also many other "unnatural" acts detailed in the Bible and God knows all and sees all and see man and wife in their marriage bed and what they do.
I sincerely trust no good Christian does anything other than proper baby making sex in their marriage bed.
Remember, God sees all and knows all. God knows your mind. God knows you heart. The angels are all around you, even in your bedrooms.
The Bible also says that married people are to be good to one another. So why it is I hear stories here from Christian women who are abused and whose children are abused by their husbands.
JEsus, yes, the Great Jesus said ONLY for adultery can one divorce. How many Christains get 'no fault' divorces for convience.
Remember, you are married for life, according to God and Jesus, even though marriage is a device created by Man. Once yu take someone, you take them forever. You made a choice and must live with it, otherwise don't take them, don't ADUTERATE them, don't KNOW them.

If you want to read the analysis of homosexuality (which includes lesbianism) read Romans 1:18-32. However, I don't think it's your place to confront this girl. Nor is it your right to tell anybody else about what you saw. I'm sure that she is very much aware of the fact that what she is doing is wrong--which may be the reason she's doing it. It can be very tough to be the child of a preacher.
If her parents do not yet know about her inclinations they will soon enough. Don't increase their burdens by bearing these kinds of tidings to them.

No. There is no direct condemnation of woman-woman sex in the Bible.
Proof it was written by man?
*the closest would be the passage in Romans which says this:
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature. And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
That is NOT a direct woman-woman reference, period.
All of the other references to homosexuality refer only to men lying with men instead of with women.

Yes, there is a passage saying homosexuality is wrong. It's in Lev I believe. In the same section/book, it also says shaving and salads and being blind are evil and wrong too, along with several other things. You have no place in this situation. Its something between your preacher and his daughter. Stay out of it.
