What kind of learner are you? Do you learn best with a quiet environment or do you need music and people around you? Find out more about your style of learning before you settle with the best option.
Also, how do you absorb information best? Are you the kind who'll need to read the content aloud to get the information in your head? Or are you one who needs to draw diagrams, mindmaps or note-taking to register information?
Next, find out when does your brain stay most alert. Are you one who can only focus at night? Or are you one who studies best in the morning right after your sleep?
Also, try breathing exercises right before you start studying. One of the reasons why you have difficulty staying still could be your level of anxiety. Breathing exercises will help you calm your nerves before you start studying.
Don't forget to reward yourself after an hour of studying. Perhaps you could watch TV, go out with your friends or engage yourself in your hobby after the hard work. Tell yourself that there is something positive to look forward to right after studying, so this will help you to stay focussed during your revision.
Lastly, don't attempt to burn midnight oil whenever an exam or test approaches. Daily revision will help you concentrate better and master the learning content better.

Sit down on a chair open whatever book you want to study. Stop day dreaming forget about your girlfriend or boyfriend. Switch off your TV and your cell phone. Then work on your school work. Do not try to study too much at a time. Sometimes its best to start with topics which you like. If you do not like your books look for your scool topics on the internet and read straight from your computer some schools and colleges have study net log onto it and use it. If you have good friends always discuss what you have studied. Study groups are also helpfull because they create something like a competition where everyone wants to contribute something and you will not be left behind. Also try and absorb as much as you can in class so that when yuou revise at home you will not have problems. If you do something in class always study it on the same evening try to take part in class discussions and learning will be an interesting part of your life. Remember when studying you only suffer for a very short time but if you fail your life might be runined for ever and you will suffer for a very very long time. When in the boes going to school or from school try and work out what you have just learnt in your mind.

A quiet area with few distractions. Quiet instrumental music. Well lit. Pencils and pens, rulers, protractors, etc. ready. Plan your study time, hardest subject 1st, and plan short stretch breaks every 15 min, and 5 min breaks every 1/2 hour. Have reference materials or websites ready. Study alone mostly. Make your own flash cards or print them out from:

first, try to get a friend to help you study, let them ask you questions and make sure you focus, you could also put some quiet classic music, to ease you down, then if you don't fall asleep (=, look at your papaers, make flash cards, look it up, or even do something you like while settling down. If you have ADD, try getting some help or someting.
