My cat likes to be scratched behind his ears and under his chin. He also likes to be scratched on his stomach but ONLY if he is laying exactly on his back, otherwise he pushes you're hand away.

Basically it depends on the cat. You can tell which spot they like to be scratched the most by paying attention to their reaction. A positive one (purring, rubbing against you, trying to be pet some more) means pet me again, just like that before. A negative reaction (scratching, biting, hissing, big swishing tale) means if you ever touch me there again I'm going to kill you and hide the body. Ever seen uncanny?

Going on the experience of owning several cats over the past few years, they seem to enjoy being tickled on top of the head, just forward of the ears. You might have noticed how a cat will encourage you to do this by pushing the top of its head towards/into your hand. For example, if you reach out to stroke a cat it will often stand up on its back legs and push its head towards your hand.

Incidentally, don't assume that a cat will like its abdomen being stroked. Some do, of course, but many cats interpret such attention as a threat and to have four sets of long claws suddenly grab your hand can be, quite literally, bloody painful!

Anyway, enjoy your feline friend.

Most cats don't like to be scratched at all,at all.
They like to be stroked at the side of their heads and under their chins. Most cats also like to be tickled behind their ears, but cats are very individual, so you'd have to find out about the one you have in mind.

Usually behind the ears and under the chin. But remember evry cat is different so find that spot that your cat considers to be the most purrfect.

Just under the ear behind the jawbone..or uner their chin..and ya know what they like most? SHoulder massages..put a hand on each of it's shoulders with your thumbs on it's back and rub..or face the cat and place hands on shoulders and take thumbs and massage his neck and front and back of shoulder blades..they love it....I someimes take just the heel of my hands just by the wrist (use no fingers) and rub simultaneously in a circular motion on the outer sides of my one kitty's neck... very light presure, of course, but they love it....

My cacts love their ear rubs and under their chins and down their throat. Careful around the rump area; they have a natural reaction to nip from there and the belly, most like that but for the one who is ticklish, be prepared to be attacked!
