That is a wonderful gift. Make sure you address it to both the wife and husband.

A good gift would be a Target gift card, they'll both want to get stuff, and he'd be happy to know he won't have to dig too deep into his pocket for it - they'll tell you what they got with the card so you'll know! Maybe a better gift: to cam cord the wedding and reception from several angles with several cameras, then take the recordings and either make a DVD on your own, or have someone you know who can do that make it as a present, or even hire someone to do it. That way, when they have those special tear-jerking moments (like the first anniversary or whatever) when they want to sit and watch themselves tie the knot (if they stay happily married) you'll know they're watching something you did for them! Pride!

Maybe $250 in cash might be better....it leaves them the option of spending where they choose.

i think a gift from the heart would be more appropriate, like a beautiful silver frame for their wedding photo, and you could have it engraved. say somthing special. they will cherish it forever

No it would not.
For your brother's wedding, you should spend at least $500.
Depending on your financial situation.
Or see about paying for the bachelor party.

The best thing you could do is be upfront with him and ask what he'd like for his wedding.

Absolutely. Even cash would be acceptable. They can then do what they want with it.
