The term "disciple" is a general term for someone who follows a particular teaching/teacher. So Christians are suppose to be followers or disciples of Jesus Christ, it's a matter of whether they are good or bad disciples.

"A believer of Jesus" - needs more explanation. Is the person 1) claiming to have trusted Christ as Savior/Lord/God or 2) merely agreeing that Jesus Christ is a real person of history? (and He is a person of history). If 1) then he/she should be a disciple, if 2) not really.

They should be, but all are not. To be a disciple, means to be a student or follower. Not all who receive Jesus as their Savior will allow Jesus to be their Lord. We MUST submit our lives to obeying the Words of Jesus and to allow the Holy Spirit to teach us the things of God.

Disciple is a transliterated word from the Greek of Biblical times. It basically means 'student' so a disciple of Christ is a person who studies Christ and learns from Him.
