Jehovah.
(some people who aren't even "Witnesses" have heard about it!)
The bible, everything, research, articles and sayings like "By Jove!"
I think it also means 'God' in Hebrew-the first language.

Yah is the short for Yahweh and is the most correct name. Allelu-Yah means praise God in every known language. God's Son, Jesus's real name is Yah-shua, which means God's Salvation. I hope that these names help bring your life into a closer and deeper relationship with God the Creator as your Loving Father as they did for me.

I don't know what God's real name is... because if I do I would be God... I am not omniscient like God... God has reasons why His name is not made known to us... His plans are better than ours...

While all the above mentioned names are Title names they are not his real name. His real name was known amoung the ancient Egyptians, later they corrupted it by putting a pagan idol to it. His real name is Ahman, I know that this may sound but it's true. He was known by ancient Egyptians. And Ahman is his true Name.

There is no real name of God. Who would have named Him when He was the one that named all things...unless He named Himself... then I bet His name is Self with a capital "S" =)

The real name of God is in your heart and soul. He/She/It is a thought a feeling that cannot be put into words. God is merely a placeholder for a concept that is so nebulous and undefined that there is not a word that can encompass the subject.

Nobody has ever communicated with God. Men, throughout time have given names to God, so you take youk pick.

Never mind melissa's "encyclopedia" posting since no one really knows God's "name", per se. We tend to refer to Him as "God", but, whatever His Name really is, it's holy because His Son, Christ says, "Hallowed Be Thy Name."
