RE:
Is the GED test hard?
I am a homeschooled 16 year old that wants to skip my last year of highschoola nd go straight into college, but first I have to take the GED. I can't go to GED classes because I am only 16... How and what would I need to know to be prepared for the test?

Yes, very hard. Too little time to take the test, too much filthy psychology in it.
I was forced out of school and to say the very least the GED testing company I chose is no more honorable than a NAZI pick pocket. It is solely designed to confuse, stress, and fail. They only want money.
Each time I have to take the test, I feel like I am being bent over a desk and anal raped by Osama Bin Laden.
When the USA became a more corporate operated education system, it went to hell. You get bullied out of school, then forced to work cheap labor. In my opinion, GED testers are as much responsible for human trafficking victims as anyone. They are exploiting the poor and beaten down, are they not?
I do not remember who coined this proverb: He who is uneducated is doomed to be a slave.
I am suffering in low income housing, so that adds to the stress.
I wanted to join the military, and wished I never clicked that as the reason for taking the test.
If you are doing so for the military, do not tell them. I am willing to bet that each person hopeful of joining the military is not only having 'problems', but they are fail fail failing! Subversives have long since ruined our education system. This is no lie and no secret.
It seems they suggest their innocent '$1 prep/practice test' for 2 reasons. One is to find your weaknesses, and the other to exploit them. I have spent $192 and never passed a test yet. I do not have my GED, and I promise you, it will only get harder. So spend at least 4 months practicing everything under the Sun.
DO NOT TAKE THEIR PRACTICE TESTS. They always Recommend KHAN ACADEMY. AVOID registry with both using identical emails. It appears to learn what you know and crank out questions Albert Einstein could never have answered. 'You only need a 10th grade level skill set to get through the test' so they say, or 150 points.
But Pearson-VUE and Khan Academy are in bed together I think. It's high way robbery.
How do you subvert your military and country the best? When killing hopefuls and harassing them does not help, when subversives in the military can not get it done, you merely destroy the candidate hopeful's ability to obtain credentials in order to join the military. If the military and colleges started giving GED tests again, we would have a lot better time. Or if we could test and get actual Diploma's that would be even better.
You have been warned.

I'm sorry you are having such a bad experience with homeschooling. The GED test is harder than it used to be, but since you are 16, if you are a good student, you are fairly well prepared already to take the test. I would advise getting a book at your local bookstore on study questions to prepare for taking the GED; there will be several to choose from. Once your "class" has graduated from high school, by law in most states, you may take the GED test. Your local community college should have an Adult Ed department that gives GED instruction free. You can either attend classes or opt to go ahead and test. If there is no community college in your area, the Regional Supt office should have information on where you can go to take the GED test, but remember, you are not old enough until your class graduates high school in most states. Good luck to you!

Of course it's difficult. The 2016 version itself was "upgraded" and mad hard to pass. It's definitely more difficult than getting a high school diploma because you actually have to rely on memorized information to pass four tests. Also, the ged is provided by a privately owned business. The main objective for them is to get money. So, the tests are made difficult for the reason to get people retaking the test and thus paying more into it. If you're going to take it, then take one at a time and focus on studying and practicing one at a time.

There should be a GED location near you, call and see if you can just come to take the test. The study books are in libraries and numerous sites online offer sample questions from the test.
