It depends on the quality. Some moonshine is so pure that I would pay the same as for two quarts of commercial vodka.

No more than $20. They sell it all around here, and it does not cost them that much to even make it. You can buy it in the liquor stores where I live for about $10 a quart, it's not a strong as the home made stuff, but it still kicks you.

First you should make sure that the supplier will drink it, too, and that s/he has't gone blind yet.

Then you start haggling, and if it's more than 70% of what you'd pay in normal retail, don't buy it. The final price would depend on quality.

in australia we call it grappa -usually made by italians-nothing to do with wine
we pay average aus $15per litre
