Have you actually read what the Pope said?
Here is a link to the English translation of the Pope's controversial speech: http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/speeches/2006/september/documents/hf_ben-xvi_spe_20060912_university-regensburg_en.html
With love in Christ.

America in no way represents Christianity, nor is it the sole representative of the Western World.
Christianity has commited many mistakes and blunders (the Crusades, the Inquisition, the witch-hunts) but has learned its lessons and has worked to avoid most of these stupidities from ever happening again.
And by the way, Muslims too overran the aforementioned countries in the past (under their ancient caliphates and the Ottoman Empire) and guess which faith is most attributed to the phrases "Kill the Infidels" and "Convert by the Sword"...the answer isnt Christian by the way.

Yes, how can they be so blind to not look at the invasion of Iraq as a terrorist act. Over hundred of thousands were killed in the bombing campaign.
Like a poor country would order the Trade Centers bombing against a Military Super Power. It wasn't even a commercial airplane that hit the first building. The U.S. can kill people over a stupid mistake (WMDS) and its okay, but we are so righteous.
Their judgment is preverted.

Muslims.
The pope said that the Muslims were troublemakers, but the Muslims didn't get it.
In Christanity, we die for God, but in Islam, we go to war for Allah.
So the Pope thinks that the Islam people are violent.

First of all, just like a Muslim will be in a rush to say that they are in no way associated with the bombings of 9/11, all Christians are NOT Catholics. Some of us are Protestant, and let me add, that I don't feel that the Catholics can really say anything about terrorism, in light of the fact that the Spanish Inquisition tortured and killed Indians and Muslims that did not convert to Catholocism. Muslim extremists today, are the Roman Catholic church of yesterday.
BTW, we don't liked to get lumped together either.

Funny, I don't remember the Vatican being a big supporter of the war in Iraq. In fact, I don't remember these wars having anything to do with religion.
