Not me. Katrina is but one example of the complete, absolute, and total incompetence demonstrated by Bush and his cronies.

One thing I can promise you... responsible voters will never forget Katrina. Nor the fiasco created by the local/state public officials of Louisianna during and following Katrina.

Reba K...

"Fema is cutting off funds to people who are stuck in hotels and still can't find jobs because they've been stigmatized"

BALONEY. It's been a year. How long is the government and the rest of the country expected to foot the bill for these people? They can't find jobs or the jobs available to them are below their standards? Are you absolutely sure that there isn't a substantial number of these people who felt it easier to play the system as far as they could not realizing that the system would eventually say enough is enough? Stigmatized? Baloney, again. People will continue to help those who help themselves and that is how it should be.

"So they will be on the street soon and since they are not from the areas where they are stuck, they can't vote."

Baloney for a third time. That's why they make absentee voting available. It only takes a walk to a local library, post office or voter registration site to get a absentee ballot. No one absolutely no one has been physically restrained... hence stuck.

The people of New Orleans lost alot of the good will heaped on them after Katrina when they re-elected the very person who is most to blame for what happened in that city. The rest of the country sees this.

Fema is cutting off funds to people who are stuck in hotels and still can't find jobs because they've been stigmatized. So they will be on the street soon and since they are not from the areas where they are stuck, they can't vote.

Who will help their neighbors with their vote? Pray the government doesn't stick it to you if this happens in your area.

new Orleans is below sea level and floods easily and the levees are unreliable.
It should be use as a landfill for the next 15 years and then made into a national park.
