They are degrading to women (and to men), they objectify women and sex by turning the woman's body and her sexuality into a commodity. It's a fake, bastardized imitation of human sexuality, it's empty, sou less "titillation." Sex and a woman's sexuality is much more profound and beautiful than that. Some think that stripping empowers women, by giving them the "power" to "control" men (through arousal) by being sexy. But any man, being honest, will tell you that they often have very little control over their own arousal, how is power getting a guy to pitch a tent by shaking your a**? It's ridiculous. That sense of power comes from the false sense of validation girls get from the "attention." But anyone with any real understanding of the idea of power knows this is not it. Getting guys to toss bills at you while you perform like a trained monkey on the street is not power. It's no coincidence that most of these girls have to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol to get through a night of work, or that they grow to hate men, often because of an underlying sense of being victimized, or they begin to see men as less than human. It's also no coincidence that most men who are habitual frequenters of strip clubs begin to view women as less than human.

Personally they don't bother me at all, honestly I have done my fair share of going to them. The way that I see it is that it is a legal business of entertainment, the performers that work at strip clubs are there on their own choice, and that is the way that they want to make their living. I agree with you 100% "no harm, no foul"

A teenage boy with raging hormones sees no problem with them. A young girl needing to make money any way she can get it sees no problem with them. But that same teenage boy and young girl, twenty years later, with their own children, tend to see things a little differently.

I won't go to a strip club if I am in a relationship. I don't have that much will power. I would rather be with my girlfriend anyway.

No harm, but they are kind of nasty. I went to one when I turned 18 and I thought it was so bad. These women doing this for some money. Why not go all the way and have sex for money. At least you enough some parts of that.

They're fun but they also can get you in trouble.

For example, some guys and I were discussing if it was $30 for a lap dance and you only had $50 is it okay to ask for change.
