i haven't had sex in 5 years. i am a 26 year old single mum. i heard that if you don't have sex for a couple of years, the virgina tightens again. does anyone know if this is true? just wondering if it will be painful again. thanking you in advance

No, it won't happen. I wish you all the best - I wish it will be WONDERFUL next time.

Bieng a man i cant comment on this from a personal viewpoint, however i can draw on experience from ex g/f's and things ive read. As far as i know yes this can happen however have no fear the body does learn to strech back to normal over time, as for pain it might be an idea to invest in soume lubricant to ease things along a bit. If it starts to hurt stop, the last thing u want is it to hurt so much that it puts u off for life lol. If i was you i wud explain to ur next sexual partner ur past and the issues that u have, from there if he is a decent guy he will understand if u need to stop a while. good luck to ya

I can see what theyre trying to do, but im not sure id want someone else teaching my 6 year old son these things. Ive already told him the truth on where babies come from, how theyre made etc. I didnt get graphical and go into the nitty gritty but he knows the basics Then, as i type that, i realise some people may find it hard to speak to such a tyoung child about these things, but either way the child will eventually ask their parents If it reduces the amount of unwanted pregnancies/abortions/teen pregnancies, then it cant be a bad thing I myself was a teen mum, i know its not easy

Yes, it tightens, and in a lot shorter time than 5 years.
But it stretches out during "the act", and only hurts for a little while "during", and then it's like nothing ever changed.
Good luck, and have fun.

I don't think that's true. Virginity is irreversible, once lost it remains that. I guess the little hiccup lies within the deterioration of sexual techniques, you know you get a little rusty... And no it won't be painful, just out of practice is all

I don't have any personal experience with that, but it sounds like wishful thinking on someone's part to say that it will tighten up again. (Especially after childbirth, if it was a vaginal delivery.)

I would say it is true, even after months is can. It is almost that if you do not use it you lose it type of idea. Not to worry, if you find someone they will he happy, you are like a new found virgin.
