I just want a program when it turns my files into a compressed file so I can upload it for my friend to download. I need a program though that can let a person extract it without using the program I'm using . . . in other words, let windows extract it itself using the extraction wizard alone.
Anyone know?

If you are and the friend are using WIndows XP all you have to do is:
1. Highlight all the files you want compressesd
2. Right-click
3. Select "Send To:"
4. Select "Compressed (zipped) folder"
5. Send it to your friend to open automatically
If you are not using Windows XP:
7zip is good and freeware, and comes with a self-extractor.
