I can't remember who said "It is the mark of an intelligent mind to be able to entertain an idea without accepting it."
There is wisdom to be gained from just about every religion on earth. If people would open their minds to learn something other than what they are comfortable with, they would find there are more similarities than differences.

About mother theresa n missionaries of charity ,just go n see the dirty work they are planning to do in tirupathi ,they wanted to convert people in the disguise of helping the poor ,thats what they do every where ,dont go with the false propaganda of Mother helping others,1% help 99% concentration on conversions,Gandhi every one konws how foolishly he acted time n again for his personal goals destroying future of many ( subash chandra bose, baghat singh and many more) architect of partion of India, nothing much about dalai lama.
Every one in this world how good they are have personal goals set to them by themselves to reach ,others live in the world of fools thinking of them how great they are.
Start being good to others and follow Bagavath geetha as a guide and counsellor not as a religious book and be a GOOD HUMANE yourself and believe in the truth and practice the truth ,than you would be Greater than them maynot be in terms of BRAND but to the GOD.
All the best.

Good question, I am not religious and I get so many Christians on here sending me "hate mail" and trying to convert me. Why can't people just respect other peoples religious beliefs. I don't go trying to to tell them not to be a christian but yet they keep trying to push their religion on me. When I ask them why they claim it's cause their religion is the only real one and God tells them to tell everyone about him and all the false religions.
One example of what im talking about:
This is what "REGINA P" posted as a answer a few minutes ago to a question that asked "What do you think of atheists?" Which yeah she was wrong for even asking.
Regina P answered with "they are wrong, dead wrong, i think they are pretty sad too, they don't realize that they are living the life the devil wants them too, but when something happens to them the first person they holler for is God "
And another person answered another question about 5 minutes ago telling an Atheists that he better bring ice water cause he is going to hell cause he don't believe in God.
If people would show some respect and realize just cause their bible tells them that it don't mean its true and not true for everyone at that and stop trying to push their religion on people it would be much better.

it angers me to see people judging other people's religion like they are 100% right and shiit.... how can one do something like that especially when they do not know other religion that well?
what I'm saying is that you cannot prove others is wrong while saying you are right and better when you don't even know the depths of what their religion is saying. Just overall knowledge is not good enough and if one really wants to protect their own religion, they tend to have bias hearts and block everything as wrong.
It's ashame what the pope did to further enrage this issue. I don't think his God will be very please with him at all. very stupid and immature of him.
Good people like you mentioned from above did not concentrate on convincing others that they have the best religion nor try make others follow them. Instead, they focus on what is taught in the religion, and put it to good use by helping others of all types of religion. giving love and making peace. They never waste energy on fighting on differences in others view on their religion.
what ashame people misuse their religion for leeway purposes... they don't even realise they are doing it all wrong.

And who is this beautiful person in Islam? We dare because our survival depends on it. http://judgeright.blogspot.com has many video links of their most popular religious and political leaders speaking to large crowds exactly what their agenda is.
They demand that everyone on earth will eventually submit to Allah, under their particular interpretation of Islam. More Muslims die annually at the hands of other Muslims than have been killed by all other nations, faiths, or sects. Their is no peace in Islam.

Prince Charles-
"If there is much misunderstanding in the West about the nature of Islam, there is also much ignorance about the debt our own culture and civilisation owe to the Islamic world. It is a failure, which stems, I think, from the straight-jacket of history, which we have inherited. The medieval Islamic world, from central Asia to the shores of the Atlantic, was a world where scholars and men of learning flourished. But because we have tended to see Islam as the enemy of the West, as an alien culture, society, and system of belief, we have tended to ignore or erase its great relevance to our own history." ,
Prince Charles, lecture at Oxford University.

Good point, I agree. Why can't people apreciate other's diversity? I do not consider myself a religious person, but I beleive that most religions have a common thread of Goodness. But to FIGHT in the name of religion... is'nt that a strange concept?!

i agree with you to some extent,
however many of those religions spread war and hate more than they spread kindness and love.
i try to take it as a case by case basis and blame the person not the religion for the problems caused., but some religions do make it very easy for them to be used for warlkie purposes.

Wish more people felt the way you do. Too many people are closed minded and only see the bad in others and then they exagerate it and make it a problem.
Remember minds are like parachutes....they only work right when they are open!

I think an informed person can see the wisdom in all religions. Most of us are trying to get to the same place, just taking different routes.
