Believers, I would like to ask if you ever feel that the promise of heaven is just too good to be true. Is it possible that some believe because it is just so tempting, and lets not worry about if it may be reality? That this life and this world we have made can be so beyond horrific that there MUST be a better place beyond or I will have to scream myself to death?

I come across this misconception over and over again on this forum. I'm a Christian, and no, I don't believe because I'm scared I'll go to hell if I don't. I'm a Christian because worshipping God is the most amazing thing in this world and there's literally no better place on earth than the road that leads to Heaven. In the words of Steven Curtis Chapman:

Well I know this road has a final destination
But I also know that if we're only looking for the prize that's waiting
Well miss so much along the way
'Cause Jesus came to give us life in the here and now
And to show us that there's

No better place on earth than the road that leads to heaven
No other place I'd rather be
No better place on earth than the road that leads to heaven
No better place to be

And according to God's Word:
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11

I don't t think I have ever felt heaven was too good to be true. Early on in my Christian walk I felt that heaven was too good for me, personally. I agree we are living in horrific times. It is an evil and perverse world we live in today. The good news is there is a heaven, God does exist, and He loves you as a person more than all His creation...And He will return for His children.

P.s. I, because of my Christian faith, no longer live in fear. Quite the opposite I'm the happiest and strongest spiritually then I've ever been in my life. That misnomer that somehow we're "fearful" because we love the Lord needs debunked right quick and in a hurry cause it isn't true.

True Faith is really very difficult to attain, and also a complex thing to explain...

An example of True Faith is sitting in your airplane seat while it is rapidly losing altitude. Being super calm and not afraid to die, because you are satisfied with what you have to show for when you die, and get judged by your deeds in this life.

"Seeing is believing" should never be a prerequisite to faith. People should believe in the unseen, however fantastic it may seem. That’s because I think people should understand the limitation of our human brain. It does very well in this existence, but may not fully and convincingly comprehend concepts beyond the realm of this world. Concepts such as Heaven, Hell, and the divine world, teaming with Angels and creatures we could never have imagined existed.

Can you imagine a Black Hole? Well, it’s the size of a golf ball, but can suck passing light straight into it. Light can’t escape it!! Wow, can you imagine that? I think it’s extremely difficult to imagine, yet there is scientific proof today that they exist.

Christians live their life in fear, not doing what they want to do, held back by the thought of going to "hell". They miss out on everyhting great in life because of that belief that they will get to heaven if they live a miserable life here.
About heaven , hell, adam & eve and such, its all like Greek Mythology. It was created to explain the inexplicable. People didn't know WHY the earth existed, or even why they existed.

This is kinda how it went: (kinda)

Guy #1: "well, maybe we are like ants, and someone above is watching us run around trying to figure out life's meaning. So yeah, we'll call that dude GOD.(or zeus)."

Guy # 2: "and what will we do about the way people are behaving, the stealing, the cheating...mean people.."

Guy # 3: "hey! lets create heaven , the place where you become immortal and everything's nice and peachy. And lets have Hell, where you supposedly burn forever. They go to heaven if they follow our rules, if not, they go to hell. Now THAT will scare them ... MUAHAHAHHAHHAAAAAA!!"

Guy # 1: "Great idea, Johnny. Now lets get to work on our rule book. Lets give it a fancy name... like... the.... ~*BIBLE*~! Yes, thats good. Oh and Jimmy, do me a favor. Hire that magician friend of yours (jesus, was it?) to do his magic tricks and use his weather predicting abilities to make people believe he's the bee's knees."

...So Jimmy did what Guy #1 said and *POOF*! A lie called christianity was born.

If you have doubts then your not a believer. Christ promised us Paradise with him and his Father. Paradise translates in to a Kings Garden. Visualize the Taj Mahal.
