every time I try to see a youtube video on my computer I have this error message (Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Click here to get the latest flash player. )
Please help on how to turn my JavaScript on. by the way what is the role of JavaScript? thanks

It is likely a problem with not having flash. Go to adobe.com and get the Flash Player there.

It probably isn't a Javascript problem, but just for your info, Javascript is one of the programming languages that webpages use to display information to you. Very useful to have (and almost all browsers have it enabled already).

If you want to make sure it is enabled....I'm not sure what webbrowser you are using. Internet Explorer? Mozilla Firefox? Netscape? Others? Anyhow, you can look under the Preferences or Options section in the menus to see if you have Javascript enabled. It probably is enabled, so don't bother if you can't find it. Only check if you have flash working.

I usually fix this by just getting of the site then getting back in and that works for me.

you don't need to know bout javascript..just go to flashplayer instaaler and install java from admin account
