NO she should not break up with him. she should get drunk and not talk to him. Then they would be even. Then they could live their lives in a cloud of drunken misery.

The poor girl is desperate to hang out with someone like that. She's better off being alone and relaxing. She should tell him that she is giving him time to get his head together. Then she should be happy to be with her friends or even reading a book. Anything is better than a drunk.
