I am trying to make of list of things, but they are not in alphabetical order.?

So when I am finished how do I put them in alphabetical order , I am using microsoft words, do anyone have any other ideas, it is really just a list of words about 500 of them. It is easier to type and then press a button to put them in order. Please help

I am using a table and it is asking me sort by which colum, I want to sort by colums

You could try to put your words in the program that is for math.database of spreasheet. Then you ask the computer to put them in al[habetical order and to remove the lines forming columns. I have done that many times for students lists, and it works very, very well, and very, very quickly. Good luck!

The "tables" tab will have a little A-Z button. Highlight your list and press that button

using microsoft word:

1) go to "view"
2) click on "toolbars"
3) click on "formating" (this shows a toolbar)
4) on the toolbar you should see "AZ" or "ZA" with an arrow beside it.
5) highlight all your work (which should be typed one line per item to be sorted)
6) then click either of these buttons to sort the items (will sort them A to Z or vise versa)

Highlight the table don't include the column headers.
Under Table select Sort
Then select the column you wish to sort by
