Kingdom of the Cults by Walter Martin, available from Amazon. It is a very good book that lays out what a relgion believes and why it is consider a cult.

there does not seem to be any one book that is not biased.

i was looking for the same info, and i ended up studying all of the major religions in the world to find my answers.
